Re: Hackenburg
Bobs stock isn't as high as last year, which would of been his time to leave. He is getting paid nfl money at PSU. Its job security as well. What's the average life span of an NFL head coach? As for you comparing yourself to rush Limbaugh well idk why anyone would ever Want compare themselves to that bafoon. With his radio show there should be a warning message saying, do not believe anything this man says!
Re: Hackenburg
If BOB leaves, he leaves. I can't really fault him. If he aspires to be an NFL head coach that is great, but I don't think beating OSU would raise his stock that much. It would be one game and most NFL organizations are going to look at his whole body of work. His game management and play calling have been horrible at times, and most of the games this year have showed that. Sure NFL teams will show interest, but I think most know he needs a few more years of head coaching experience in college before he is truly ready to be an NFL head coach. If he leaves Hackenburg's development will all depend on who they bring in to replaced BOB. From reports from committed recruits, BOB plans to be there until the end of his contract, but we all know how that goes with coaches.
Also, I think BOB gets too much credit for Hackenburg's development. The person nobody talks about is Charlie Fisher, the QB Coach. This guy gets absolutely no credit and he is the one who works with the QBs the most.

Re: Hackenburg
Isn't BO'B a proven winner???? Last year he only ever head coached in 12 games his whole life. And you're saying his stock was better last year? I don't think so. If he beats OSU, Nebraska, AND Wisconsin, he's gone. And Hackenberg will be lost.

Re: Hackenburg
I'm not saying I have perfect grammar but come on Konjo! It's "could have" or "should have" not "could of" or "should of".... I think in every single one of your posts you misuse that phrase.
Re: Hackenburg
Wait a minute. Isn't BOB's claim to fame being responsible for developing Tom Brady??? I'm SURE he has more to do with developing Hackenberg than you think. And is Fisher going to stick around if BOB leaves?
Re: Hackenburg
First off, I never labeled Hack a Heisman winner but I think he is Penn States best chance since Larry Johnson. The recruiting for skill positions on offense is great, if Fisher and BOB stay he will continue to improve, and he is already putting up great numbers. Zach Mills is the opposite of Hack. He was an great talent (like Hack) but he had horrible offensive coaching and regressed through his career.
I know the schedules of both Pitt and PSU were mentioned as a reason why they are having success (whether it be individually or as a team) but at the same time we've seen both these programs struggle against teams like this in the past. The good news is it isn't happening as frequently and the teams are young and visibly showing improvement.
BOB will go to the NFL if the right situation comes along. I don't know if the Giants would hire a coach that has as little experience as BOB and throw him into that NYC media circus. BOB has proven though he can handle media pressure as he may have faced the toughest media situation ever for a first time head football coach.
I understand your concern moldo about BOB leaving but name me a prestigious program in the country that has a coach that can guarantee you he will be there in 2 years...maybe Alabama, LSU, and Oklahoma. After that, I really don't see any. Jimbo Fisher at FSU seems solid but if he wins a NT this year or next year, who knows...my point being, every school in the country lives with the uncertain future of their coaching staff but you gotta just hope they stay.

Re: Hackenburg
The reason why BOB stock is down than last year is because he lost to Indiana and ucf. And if their record is around .500 he doesn't look as magical as last year. I'd be more concerned with USC than the NY giants of any NFL team.
Re: Hackenburg
Ya. Last year losing to Ohio and Virginia was not as bad as losing to UCF and Indiana. Really?????
Re: Hackenburg
Konjo,
Penn State is 4-2. On pace for 8-4...last year at the half way mark they were 4-2 and finished 8-4...
Last year, lost early to a small conference school at home (Ohio) and a major conference doormat on the road (Virginia). This year lost to a small conference school at home (UCF) and a major conference doormat on the road (Indiana). Can you explain the difference to me?
