How bad have College Football teams in the Northeast become?
Re: How bad have College Football teams in the Northeast bec
Maybe I am selling OSU short. It's hard to judge when they play in a conference that has been so bad. I'll be real interested to see how they do in their BCS bowl this year.

Not sure why you guy always want to compare football programs between Pitt and PSU?
Penn State as an university wants to an elite football program. I feel Pitt on the other hand Pitt wants to be competitive football program. Pitt wants to be an elite basketball program. The ACC didn't accept Pitt ,Syracuse , and Louisville for football. Although Louisville is good this year. You guys should be comparing PSU to Alabama, Oregon, Florida State, not Pitt!!!

Ok so no one should compare two BCS conference programs located 2 hours apart? Instead we should compare Penn State to Alabama, 800+ miles away?

As a Pitt Basketball fan I'm sure not comparing programs with PSU 2 hours away.I'm comparing with Duke 405 miles away, North Carolina 411 miles, Kentucky 458 miles, Louisville 497 miles, Florida 922 miles, Kansas 944 miles away.
Just wondered why PSU fans always compare their program to Pitt? If being a top ten team is the goal, Pitt wouldn't be high on comparison list.

Yelling at Zwinak and the handshake after the game???? Hey, it's the little things that matter. I'm talking about things I observed. I'd be talking about more important things, but I'm waiting for BO'B's impression of the game at the news conference on Tuesday. Hell, if HE doesn't know what happened during the game without reviewing the game film, how should I know what happened.

Speaking of Coaches Press conferences, did you happen to hear Paul "Ya Know Um" Chryst had to say today? Look at some of these gems. These are paraphrased and don't have his normal 5 "um"s and 6 "ya Knows" per sentence.
"Navy is a triple-option team, so we have to be ready for three options on almost every play."
"I thought early we did a good job of running the ball consistently," Chryst said. "They made some adjustments and made some plays, so we couldn't just run at will on that. That's the game."
Pitt had three timeouts left on the final drive, but Chryst said he elected not to use them in a last-ditch attempt at one more possession.
"I was thinking about that, in hindsight maybe you would or should," he said. "Their kicker had been struggling, and I was kind of trying to play that guessing game.

...I'll tell you what's funny. From today's BlueWhiteIllustrated: After the slaughter on Saturday night, BO'B began talking about "things we won't forget". Such as the QUESTIONABLE play that led to Hackenberg's shoulder injury, and Urban Meyer's SUCCESSFUL decision to challenge a PSU first down conversion late in the game. BO'B's crying about that, but he has to see the game film before he talks about the important things, such as why PSU lost by almost 50 points. According to BWI, PSU has plenty of reasons to hold a grudge.

Please don't go back to an crap on here...
Northeastern football has been absolutely terrible.
I didn't expect PSU to play with OSU on the road at night... I didn't think it would be that and either. I didn't understand the coverages at all. The cushions in the zone were unreal.

O'brien saying "Things we won't forget" may have had nothing to do with any of that. They had a lot of things they shouldn't forget that night. It was a good lesson in a Buttkicking. O'brien said in his press conference the late hit to Hack wasn't dirty and said "He didn't think it was a first down, so he challenged the spot. I have no thoughts on that"

The coverages were mindboggling. I have never seen more receivers catch a 15 yard out, turn then have no one around for 10 yardsCoach wrote:Please don't go back to an crap on here...
