I just can't stand people like KONJO acting like they know everything about area football.

:)) :)) :)) :)) :))
That's a concern of mine as well when it comes to Konjo. I've asked him before but never got an answer but wanted to know how someone who resides in Washington could be an expert on h.s. football played on the other side of the country. I guess with the internet these days anything is possible. I think this debate happens evevry year. Westpac vs. Heritage. It never ends..
I never meant to come off as portage proved nothing. They did and deserved the win. All I was saying is it would of been a different game with new house in. And ramblinman with the internet now a days its easy to gain lots of knowledge. Almost every game finds its way online in some media fashion. And i love the area for football where I grew up in. Because quite simply its better out there. Ya there are probably better athletes out at these big schools I watch but they don't have the size and speed to compete with most schools in western pa in my eyes. And this passing thing stinks, especially when average completion percentage is 40%..... Makes for loong games

That's all I wanted.. to understand how you form your opinions. I mean...I can only catch so many games..so many teams in a year. I can be somewhat versed on area football but an expert I am not. just don't see enough games is all. Where do you catch the games? What sites? Maybe I'll be able to see more than I already do.

I'm more of a lhac guy myself, but to settle this argument take the last two seasons of these crossover games and see who has a better record. Westpac or heritage. Simple.

Ok TY, 45 is Tedy Skultety. I have heard all year that Homer was dirty but when they played PM it was a really clean game. No dirty shot's at all.
Homer Center played extremely dirty, on the opening kickoff #88 pushed a sophomore #20 (Slifko) for Portage onto the ground while the refs were picking people off of a fumble pile. Then after the first play from scrimmage #32 for HC took a huge cheap shot running full speed and taking #2 (Onder) for Portage off his feet while he was standing still. Things like this happened all game from HC. I even saw someone from Homer punch #51 (Vocco) from Portage right in the helmet while he was on the ground after a play. And the shot on Lutz (the kicker) was even worse. Did not even go for the block, #45 put his shoulder right into the kicker's stomach.

Silly? Crazy? Yes Bellwood never led and Im not mad about the score at all. But BA got stopped on 4th and goal at the 1 inch line. If they score its 21 21 and a totally different game. But thats not what Im mad about, not at all. Richland has a HECK of a football team and outplayed Bellwood on every aspect of the game and deserved to win. Without a doubt Richland is the better team. What I think is total BS is you have a double digit lead for most of the 3rd and all of the 4th qtr with PLENTY OF TIME to put ALL your SENIORS in the game on Senior Night but no on 3rd down with seconds left you try to PASS the ball and the QB takes off running and is tackled inbounds. And instead of letting the 7 seconds run off the clock. Richland calls a TIMEOUT!!! And on 4th down up by 21 pts on the LAST PLAY OF THE GAME...PASSES THE BALL!!!!! THAT IS CLASSLESS!!!! PERIOD!!!! You had 2/3 of the 2nd half to point your Seniors in, I dont want to hear it. Baileys CLASSLESS after that move, I lost A LOT of resect for him last night.

With all due respect to your opinion, play calling prowess, and coaching ability, you have no idea what you are talking about. And while losing your respect is obviously of great importance to you, I do not think it will hold the same level of importance for anyone else. In short, get over it. Richland won and managed to put in alot of players for their last regular season game at home.

HAHAHA if you say so. The road ends with Aliquippa and you all know it. Good luck in the playoffs

I noticed in the paper that Gray only had 3 carries. Did he get hurt or do they hold him out because of pending playoffs?

I was at the Bellwood/Richland game and personally feel Bellwood had a legit shot at winning. I was more amazed at the poor officiating both ways. On the goal line stand I clearły saw the ball break the plane but the running back was driven back and it was spotted at the 1 inch line instead of a touchdown that it was but also the two unsportsmanlike calls on Richland seemed pretty cheap. Just my two cents I know I wouldn't want to play either team in the playoffs could be a long night

I am a true blue Richland fan. I have attend games for over 20 years. Coach Bailey had enough blowout games this season to play any senior he wanted to play. The Bellwood fans come to Richland for the first time ever and what do they see a quality team in Richland with a coach who goes for it on 4th and 7 on his own 35 with the game still in question. You can do that and he has this season against weaker teams. But, against a good team like Bellwood the percentage of success is small. He's lucky his defense bailed him out. Then at the end of the game he leaves his starting QB in with the 2nd team, passes the ball and calls a timeout. That my friends is going to piss people off and maybe get your QB hurt. Have some class coach, call the victory formation
