West Pac Review/Wrap up
Wrap Up for West Pac
Ferndale survived the season and finished without a win. This team showed a lot of heart
by finishing with such few players and most likely saved their football team for the future.
Although, they may not have won a game, I would say they have won much more respect
and admiration by finishing what had to seem like an eternity season. I believe you will see
better numbers for Ferndale in the future. Tip of the Hat to the Yellow Jackets.
Conemaugh Valley at 1-8 for the year looked good at times. They have a young team and
should improve each and every year. This team may be a couple years away from being
.500 But, they are heading in the right direction
Blacklick finished up at 2-7. With the athletes they lost to the previous year graduation this
did not come as a complete shock. The Vikings should rebound a bit next year with a few more
wins.
Conemaugh Township at 3-7 finished a bit lower than expected. CT played with very few seniors
and should easily better that mark next year. They finished the season on a bright note by
upsetting a solid North Star team and that should be a nice spring board into the next year.
Play Off Predictions
Shade will take their 5-5 record into the playoffs as the #2 seed and as I have said all year this
Is a scrappy bunch that doesn’t seem to give up. I think they will give Northern Bedford fits
In their upcoming playoff game. I think the depth of Northern Bedford will eventually be a
bit much for the panthers. If Shade brings there A+ game it could be much closer than my guess of
NB 35-14
North Star sitting at 6-4 will see a very strong #3 seeded Tussey Mountain team. North Star
has had their moments this year but appears to be a bit sluggish on offense and this will cost
them in the playoffs. Tussey has proven they can stop a power offense in winning at Meyersdale
TM 28-7
Windber is 6-4 and heading to Meyersdale who sits at 8-2. It appears both of these teams have
not been playing their best ball as of late. Windber didn’t show much against Berlin and
Meyersdale has struggled the last few weeks. These teams meet earlier in the year and had
A good game. I think the only advantage this week will come from home field. Either team
could win this and it wouldn’t be shocking. I would have to give Meyersdale the edge at home
Meyersdale 21-20
Berlin –Bye week and likely will get winner of Windber and Meyersdale

Re: West Pac Review/Wrap up
Whoops! Forgot Portage as they play in D6 playoffs. Anyway they should have no trouble getting by Blairsville as
these teams are heading in different directions. I am curious to see who Portage will get next week. They may want
to enjoy this win as the road will get much rougher in the near future. I can't wait to see some of the matchups next week
so a lot of the bickering on this site will be settled to some extent. Your always going to have the "we would of won ifffffffffff"
gang but, that's to be expected.
