A rule change I don't understand...

If you are in a goal to goal situation that means this is no line to gain. Pass Interfence is not an automatic first down. If a defense or offense team commits a intentional pass inference another penalty will be called. Still not resulting in an automatic first down. Since at the NBC game no line to gain since it was 4th and goal. THE HEAD COACH SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT. I believe that each school recieves a rule book from the PIAA each season and goes back to high school coachs wanting to use the NFL rulebook. Read the book each year.

What a stupid rule. It SHOULD absolutely be an automatic 1st.

Our head coach and staff knew the rule...it is a change after nearly 30 years and was the first time it had an affect on us in 2013. We didn't use the NFL rule book. We just thought of the PIAA rule that has been around for as long as anyone can remember.
