I agree with Manfred that the Dragons discipline must improve vs Richland. 100+ yards in penalties may go unnoticed in a 62 point performance but will put you a big time disadvantage against a team with the fire power like Richland. The personal fouls and yapping had me concerned early in the season but the more high school football I watched this season I noticed that unfortunately it has become the norm across the board. FH had multiples as well on Saturday. In a championship game however against a very good team it will definitely come back to bite you so here's hoping both teams can keep their heads and provide us with a great game!

bottom line is they let forest hills hang around....if not for a really good kick return late in the second quarter forest hills goes to the half leading.not saying they would or even could have won,but u do the same against richland and they will be down by 3 scores....and for forest hills leading reciever he must have been doing something right because after 6 catches and 3 interference penalties they switched corners covering him....central is a very good team they just need to play there best game against richland. central has a stud running back if they run him alot i think he will wear down richlands defense and have a good chance......they have to use up big chunks of clock.....they only way richlands offense cant hurt you is when there on the bench....central needs to run run run and run some more.between the qb and the running back they can....

Personally think Richland will win this pretty easily as long has they come out more prepared to play than they did for Tyrone. After watching the Central-CC game and the dingbat coaching decisions by Central, I think Central's coaching is going to be what hurts them. Pitch pass 2 and Goal from the eight? About 3 other trick plays at stupid times, I see them trying to go for big plays instead of playing the possession game and giving themselves a better chance at winning.

and yes i was at the game and centrals secondary did not play well....also forest hills leading reciever never played football till the 3rd game of the season this year ...never not 9th,10th or 11th grade...first year the kid ever played and he made central take there starting corner off him...and getting 3 interference calls ...yea i was there and saw ......for a kid who only played in 8 games his entire high school career to do this to central shows there weakness...and if he didnt light him up why the switch..

:)) Thanks burner for the non-bias info. #30 played a little in Jr. Hi, none till this year, when injuries decimated the FH starters and a couple of his buddies asked Don if he could come on the team. Through the season, he didn't light it up, but did gain experience @ WR. He is a track runner. That pass interference was our best offensive play all night!
It ain't over until it's over.

I agree 1000% that Central needs to get off to a much better start against Richland than they did the first 2 rounds of the playoffs to not get in an early hole. I don't think a QB completing 37% of his passes for 167 yards shows any glaring weakness. Corners were playing 10 yards off the line and giving the WR that was in motion on every play an 8 yard out (killed us with the same route all night long last year). But 14 of 37 really isn't picking anyone apart. The PI calls definitely were FH best plays that night.

In no way would I want to see a coach go for the first down on 4th and 20 to prove a point or to sacrifice the dignity of the other teams program. Just playing devils advocate in the preparation of your own team in various situations. There is a time and place for everything and the class of a coach and program would be in question pending the situation.

Ok enough about last week...let's move on to the big game! Game should no way be lacking in offense and big plays with the talented skill players on both sides of the field. Central has the do everything combo of Austin Cunningham and Bradi Moore while Richland has proven to be an offensive powerhouse from week 1! Cunningham and his Johnny Manziel like style of play (Altoona mirror said it not me) can be reckless at times but is talented nonetheless, he will be playing on Saturdays. Moore has speed and size in his favor and the two play extremely well off of each other. Moore actually does not get the ball enough at times, see Clearfield game. The real question is if Richland is able to slow Cunningham down will Central have enough other guys step up to keep the pace with the Rams. I think Central must play turnover free football and play disciplined (12 penalties for over 100 yards last week) in order to pull off the upset. Of course I'll be rooting for my Dragons but in all honesty just want to see a well played and well officiated game as I believe we definitely got the 2 best teams and should be a pleasure for fans of offense! Best of luck to all!

Cunningham playing on Saturdays?? For who? He is 5'7" at best and while his antics may play well in Mountain League he is not a very good passer. His legs would only get him so far at the next level. We talking Saturdays at Juniata?
