Friday night updates!
Re: Friday night updates!
I have a grandson that played 9th grade football for Huntingdon and went to most of their games. I don't know what Central has coming back next year but their junior high team was, by far, the best I saw all year. Size, speed, athleticism.
Tyrone also has some nice kids coming.

Watching the game lastnight I can't really say any team was much more physical than the other. IMO Richland ran the ball much better than central but the passing game was shut down. Central did rush for 260 yards but on 55 attempts, Richland had about the same yards per carry just less attempts. Shaffer made a lot of poor throws all night. I think centrals key plays, turnovers, and keeping Richlands offense on the sideline won them the game, not as much that they were more physical. Great game by both teams.

Once again just an absolutely amazing game last night. Props to the Richland players for the great sportsmanship to include huddling around the Central players as they received their medals.
Central does indeed have a senior heavy team and will only return 3 starters but as JVFan stated above the 9th grade team was stacked this year and a lot of those kids will be filling the holes as sophomores next year.
Central will play Hickory Friday night not sure of location yet.

You play to win the game!!!

S cube: I know you are being sarcastic. But when Central left the LHAC, they were INDEED running away from the competition in the conference.

I read the rushing yards this morning and was at the game last night and ask again how do you run Solarczyk just 11 times? He didn't play defense last night so he was rested he should've seen over 20 carries. 85 yds on just 11 carries sometimes the game doesn't have to be cute or complicated.

Oh but it's ok for Richland to try to humiliate every opponent on their schedule by running up the score, going for it on 4th downs, fake punts, onside kicks, timeouts with seconds left to pass the ball, ALL when they had HUGE leads and the games were in hand ALL SEASON LONG??? You know what I say...WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! You lost!!! Quit making excuses. Enjoy your 2nd place cake...
