Hoops: Ridge at Bedford
A good game at the Bedford Middle School as Bedford squeezes by by Ridge, 32-31. Some questionable calls by two officials who seemed to want to penalize Ridge's aggressiveness. But to be honest, the Bisons did well on the foul line.
At least the Ridge Junior High CAME TO PLAY TONIGHT...
Should be a good rematch back in Fishertown!
At the Christmas break the Lions are 5-2 -- good work!

I missed the game tonight at Bedford, but I am excitedly waiting to see them play again at Ridge. It should be another breath taking game.
Good luck guys!

Chestnut Ridge Lions...let's step it up a notch this year! 8)

most of the ridge players did come to play. I came with the idea in my head that i was gonna have a good game and break out of my slump. i felt great during warm-ups and the adrenaline was flowing, i mean, c'mon its bedford! then i go out on the floor and every muscle in my body tightens up and i feel like runnin to the locker room and puking my guts out. I haven't had much experience in a situation like that and i "choked" bad. i missed a breakaway layup. I am sorry to all my teammates that i let down out there on tuesday. If i ever get the chance to play serious minutes again, i swear i will make it up to u guys. sorry to be so apologetic, but if u were there, u would realize why i needed to apologize. i guess this is a really pointless post and you may say, well, everyone has bad games. you don't understand what i did. once again, sorry guys. we'll get em at home.

You don't need to apologize for anything, Kohlslaw. Everybody who ever plays team sports has a bad game sometime -- even when they feel like everything will be great. And sometimes when you feel crappy, you have a great game. Don't beat yourself up about it. It's all part of learning to be a good player -- which you're well on your way becoming.
Remember this: The team lost by one point. Everybody -- and I mean everybody -- who played made a mistake that directly contributed to Bedford's win. On the other hand, everybody also contributed directly to the team's almost pulling it out.
Your time is coming. It might even be the next game!

ridge vs bedford
Bedford won by one and remember #15 Jesse Feaster one of the starting guards wasnt even play because of an illness. On the lions home court look for Bedford to rip it up

You really ripped it up on your home court... Don't count on ripping it up too much.

Bubba: Have you ever been on a real shrimping boat?
Forrest: No, but I've been on a real big boat.

Feaster is an excellent player, and I'm sure Bedford missed him for the first game.
Travis Manges had the flu when the Ridgerunners played the Bisons. He was very sick, and it hampered his performance. But nobody is using that as an excuse for Ridge's loss.
There's something to be said for gracious winners. That's what I like about the Warriors' junior high squad this year.
