An outsider would get run off, about 80% sure of that. Johnstown in general is closed loop, so unless the BC coach has a Johnstown connection, someone would be gunning for him from day 1. Sad, but that is my observation over the years.

That is unfortunate. I hope I don’t get killed on here for making this comment but Johnstown sounds like a school that needs a board change. From the outside looking in and from what I’m being told is the school is less concerned with educating and making the best choices for their students and more concerned with the good ol boy club. Correct me if I’m wrong but it appears that unless you know someone or related to someone you can’t get hired. Sports is a small part of a school so I can imagine if it is done like that for basketball it is done like that for every hiring in the school from Principal down to the janitor. It’s starting to make sense now how the biggest school in the area can underachieve against schools half their size. Sad

This is Johnstown we are talking about people. After the mess they made last time they hired outside of the school with Roman, they are hiring inside this time. My source told me there are 2 strong candidates Hoffman and Price. Well maybe not strong but candidates non the less. I don’t think anyone of any relevance applied. I also know for a fact Durham nor Cosio applied.

Just heard today Johnstown will announce Rich Price as their new boys varsity coach this week.

I heard the same thing, I also heard his assistant coach will also move over and be an assistant with the boys. Any truth to that?
