Evt/TM Results

Post by Head Roadie »

Surprised there is no info posted on this game. It appears from the boxscore that Everett came back from a deficit to dominate the 4th Qtr and get the win. Miller (16) apparently fronted the Warriors who held Zimmerman to 13. I'm relatively certain it was an intense, as usual, game. Interested in perspectives of those who were there and what's going to happen at Round II in Saxton in 3 weeks.

Man, I didnt relize how crazy Coach Baily could get like that. Although tha ref did blow tha whistle for some call & Adam miller still took it to tha basket. When He got up he went straight to tha ref & yelled ''if they win its all your fault!''. Than he turned around & was about tha hit the booth behind him, from there on......IT WENT LUDACRIS

The game was tied with about 3:20 left on the clock when the ref blew the call. Every one in the gym heard that whistle. If the ref makes the call we are shooting 1-1 and everette doesnt' get an easy lay-up. I don't know how that ref can make that call and then pretend it didn't happen.

I'm surprised there isn't more on it, but I guess people just left it on the court. Coach Bailey did get out of control at the game. It's insulting to Everett and Tussey when a coach behaves that badly just because the ref made a mistake. I know how Bailey coaches, and I know he's always riled up, but it's no excuse.
I have to say the ref wasn't the best, and some things weren't done that should have been, and things were done that shouldn't have been, but it's over.

Tomm, Was Bailey out of control.... yes. Was the Tussey S U C K S chant uncalled for at the end of the game.... yes. I was surprised how many adults (and I use that term loosely) were involved in that chant.

Its unfortunate for everyone that things had to unfold the way they did. But its TM/Everett. Everett likes TM just about as much as TM likes Everett. Its called a rivalry.

Yea, well even though there was that little mishap...Everett still won by 5 points. So even if we didn't get that 2 points, we still would've won.

Tussey Mt.Fan...glad you brought up the "maturity of the people in the stands" subject. I believe that both crowds were way out of control. And the Tussey sucks chant shouldn't have happened. It is disappointing things had to go that way. It was a great game and both teams played extremely well.

On the "Bailey was out of control quote." I don't blame him. First off TM should have been on the foul line after the tackle on Zimmy. Secondly, the ref should have admitted the mistake he made. If not calling the foul then he should have stopped play and either went to the possesion arrow or given Eve the ball at half court. The question I have Is why did EVE have Somerset county refs instead of the SHL Refs at this football game? OHHH I'm sorry this was a full contact B-Ball game...........

I was also wondering why Koontz from EVE had to get involved with Bailey. And the man in the orange sweater should have been ejected for interacting in this problem........

haha, who cares about what happened. The fans got what they paid for and enjoyed every second of that intensed game. I believe the man in the orange sweater was our football coach/asst. athletic director Tom Waltman. From what I saw they were trying to calm Bailey down and telling him to sit. They both had to do it because the security guard was 80 years old and was busy raiding the popcorn machine. The funny thing was that the Refs didn't "T" Bailey up, they just stood to the side, I believe that they were scared. Is Brad Clapper the best foul shooter in the county??
