LA Kings vs. CHI Blackhawks

Post by Aoki11 »

This series shows Chicagos clutch playoff ability and their defensive prowess. Not even Konjos "best players in the world can put you consistent solid numbers against them. Still Toews played well Saturday and has been decent this whole series.

As for me, my 2nd favorite team and my favorite player Anze Kopitar are up 3-0 right now and have 2 more full periods to work against a dilapidated Blackhawk team.

Aoki, question: do you mean LA's clutch playoff ability?

Last night was crazy, I thought LA outplayed Chicago last night just like they have the whole series. A lucky bounce from an old timer and some good individual play from Kane was the difference. Honestly at some points in the game I think you could have thrown Kopitar out there by himself against handzus line and it wouldn't have made a difference. They have just played terrible this whole series. Look for the Kings to end it in game 6.

The Kings and Hawks are easily the two deepest teams in the league and are reaping the benefits of good drafting, development and timely trade/free agent signings. If Crawford were a better goalie, the Hawks could take the last two, but I can't see Quick losing three straight. I don't think any of the top 4 seeds in the Eastern Conference could win a series against the top 4 in the Western Conference (maybe Boston).
