Blue-Grey HS All-American Bowl

Post by SportsFan96 »

Just saw this posted somewhere that Chestnut Ridges Shane Davis has been selected to play on the East squad in the Blue-Grey HS All-American Bowl in Dallas, TX in December. It's always cool to see local kids do well at this kind of stuff, and Shane is a great kid both on and off the field. I know CR hasn't been talked about much, but I think they are going to be a pretty decent team this year.

On another note, luckily though the game is being played on 12/14 so he should be home in time for the CR vs Bedford wrestling match on 12/21.

Two questions. How does someone get themselves selected for something like this? What position is he going to play in the game?

From what I understand he went to a regional combine in Philadelphia, performed well there, was then selected to go to a super combine in Canton Ohio and performed well there. I'm assuming after the super combine is when they made their selections for the squads for Blue-Grey All-American Bowls. I think he is going as an O-lineman. He is listed on the Blue-Grey roster from the super combine in Canton as C/G.

Chestnut Ridge's Shane Davis will be playing this weekend in the Blue-Grey All American Bowl at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, TX. He is listed as a Center on the East Squad Roster. The game will be played on Dec 14th (Sunday) and will be able to be viewed online on Dec 16th (Tuesday) on Impactfootballnetwork.com

He is 1 of 2 kids from PA listed on the roster for the East Squad. It's just my opinion, but I think it's pretty neat to see a local kid getting to play in a national game.
