Fellas, PA Pride is an organization based out of Altoona. The team that you are talking about that they lost to by 15 was a squad from Basketball Stars of America (BSA). That team is ranked number 1 in PA, so losing by 15 isn't too terrible I don't think.

PA Pride has kids that go to Altoona, Hollidaysburg, State College, BG, Tyrone, Tussey Mt., Bellwood. Also, they have mostly girls teams now, and I think just like 3 boys teams.

It’s well documented I’m a support of BC sports and have a lot of respect for the boy basketball program. The 2 best players in the area from Blair, Cambria, and Somerset counties are Martinazzi and Hinton. I’m putting Brandon slightly over him but then again Hinton is only a sophomore I believe and Brandon will be a Sr. JMO

I would say Barnes and Heiple along with Reid from j-town are next to martinazzi. Especially Barnes , who can play guard or move under the basket. All around team player. Good on defense. Heiple is a quick pt guard and Reid is tough under the hoop. Hinton slacks on the defensive end and shoots a lot. Good player, but not as team oriented as the other guys. jmo Saw all of them play more than 1 time.

Any time that I have seen Barnes play, he has been very lazy on the defensive end. He just wants to sit at the top of the 1-3-1 and not work. Reid is real good... it's a shame he doesn't play in the offseason at all. Btw... Ferndale plays at the BC Tip-Off tournament this fall... I'd love to see those two face off against each other

I think you mixed him up with another somerset player. He is a top defensive player and the best on somersets team. He is quick and has long arms and big hands and always creates turnovers. jmo You should ask Paul Byer his coach in the summer if he plays a full game both sides of the court. Or ask Close his somerset coach. It is ashame Reid doesn't play in the summer league. I agree with you on that. He is a good player with hops.
