Football Camp Casualties

Twp Westmont players were treated for hypothermia like symptoms yesterday as their PIAA mandated heat acclimated bodies could not adjust to afternoon temperatures that dipped to as low as 62. The wind chill made it feel like 58. Coaches vowed to have hot chocolate and blankets available today.

A Purchase Line senior OL/DL broke his femur and tore his ACL. Both have to be surgically repaired ending his athletic career. Sad to see any senior miss their final year due to injury.

Wow! Just the thought of that makes me cringe. Good luck on his long road to recovery.

Well, Tyrone will see how their depth is up front... A bunch of guys bunged up, some still practicing ... Nothing too serious but several may have to watch Saturday.

Scrimmage is in Tyrone I do believe. They had a listing of all the scrimmages in the Altoona Mirror the other day. Of course I threw it out after reading it but I do believe it said Saturday in Tyrone. Who is their second scrimmage this year?
