D6 AA Power Rankings Week 6
Tough to say what's going on in the bottom half of this power rankings. Some tough battles remaining for some teams, some will cruise, and some are building for next year already.
1.Tyrone Area-(5-0)Battle of the Eagles this week. Look for another fast get away for Tyrone as they make the trip down the valley. Look for them to go a little longer with the starters this week as they prepare for a tough stretch in their schedule.
Clearfield
Central Mountain
Chestnut Ridge
2.Central - (4-1) The Dragons continue to get better each week. They hit the road this week for what i see as their last test of the season at Chestnut Ridge. I think this will be a very even game with Central going to their bag of tricks to get the win in the end.
3.Mount Union-(5-0) The Trojans are coming off their biggest wins in years. Look for the score board to light up early and often as they host NBC. I don't see any road blocks remaining for them. Maybe week 9 at Tussey but I doubt it.
4.Juniata-(5-0) Juniata hosts Tri Valley this week. Look for them to cruise for the next couple weeks. Their test will come in week 10 when they travel to Williams Valley.
5.Central Cambria (2-3) The Red Devils are looking to even there record this week against Cambria Heights and will do so in a big way. I said a few weeks ago to look for them to go on a run. Should be a good game next week with Penn Cambria but expect them to win out.
6.Forest Hills- (3-2) Another big week for the Rangers ahead. Unfortunately I don't see a way for the home team to come away with a W. To much Guilfoyle.
Bishop Guilfoyle
Johnstown
Bedford
7. Huntingdon(2-3) As said above, this is looking like a game the Bearcats must win as they host Ligonier Valley. They look to be battling for those playoff spots. Another threat looms in week 9 as they host Central
8.Penn Cambria(2-3) The road to the playoffs don't have many turns left. They get Carroll this week which is helpful this year.
Central Cambria
Somerset
McCort
The rest looks like this
Ligonier Valley(3-2) A trip to Huntingdon this week for the Rams may determine there fate. With many tests ahead, this is a must win.
Penns Manor
Homer-Center
Central
Southern Huntingdon- (2-3) Bellwood, Everett and Mo Valley all remain for the Rockets. They will need some help to get in the post season for sure.
Richland - (2-3) With tough games against Johnstown, Bedford, Central Cambria, and Forest Hills remaining it doesn't look good for the Rams
Bald Eagle(1-4) There coach was pointing towards a big second half of the year, I don't see it with Tyrone, Clearfield and Jersey Shore all on the schedule along with what looks like a playoff team in Huntingdon
Philipsburg(0-5) Could they go 0 for the season?
Penns Valley (1-4) A match up against Philipsburg this week. Thats the good news, bad news is they have games remaining against Chestnut Ridge, Tyrone and Mt Union.
