But aside from that where does a team like Southern Columbia come into this discussion as they have always been power running and have not been exceptionally fast and have had great success
Yea, that's not speed. That's mach 5. They're insane and yes definitely going to Hershey.

They have a nice team and that shouldn't go unnoticed. That game probably could have been worse if it weren't for special teams play of somerset. But it also could have been closer if not for a couple big mistakes by Bedford quarterback. The two pick sixes hurt. Im glad it was a good game because I think it knocked somerset back to where they know they have to play EVERY week and teams wont just roll over for them. Idk if bedford can get by CR but they definatly have the ability.
Great post, they needed to play that Bedford game bad. Just a friendly reminder of how tough playoffs might be. They'll be tested. I'd love to go see CR and Bedford

Agreed. The rivalry between those two teams is fantastic. Off topic but if you have never seen a Bedford vs CR wrestling match it is definatly worth the price of admission. These schools love playing each other
Anything can happen between these two.

That's what I live about the Berlin/Meyersdale backyard brawl. Hatred fuels this fight as much as talent

And real bleacher if u can read also, I said bedford was good and the best team. Don't make it out like I said they stink like hank! This all started with a select few saying somerset lucked out when they played bedford with bedford mistakes! I stated somerset had pick six also and spotted them 7! So maybe neither team didn't play theire best, just don't say bedford didn't and was the better team! Hank cut down somersets cake schedule and that pissed me off when his berlin boys play ferndale and cv. He had no right cutting somerset down just cause they beat bedford. And most somerset people are stuck on themselves so I can see real bleacher jumping the band wagon! A lot of politics there!

Has it not been cake for Somerset thus far? Only one close game. Using lots of exclamation points does not make arguments any stronger. Am I wearing zebra stripes? That's normally wear most of the yelling is concentrated. Can their be more than one opinion or just yours? You're the one throwing out most of the shots. Just relax. It's only an opinion blog

Yes, they have had their way but I credit that to how good their team is. I agree bc and westy are bad, but the other 4 teams aren't that bad! Every division has the good, the average and the bad. But it is the same schedule for everybody in the lhc. Actually somersets is harder having to play bg and bedford. We will see how good somerset is week 10 vs bg. Bg has the cake walk schedule. At least somerset played bedford. I would like to see who would win a bedford game vs bg. Last year bedford beat them, but chadborn was out.

I just don't feel FH has played to potential from what I have seen. Richland is down, McCort doesn't have the same spark as they did just a few years ago. I think you have BG, Bedford, and Somerset on top with little in the middle. These 3 teams will also all be in different playoff brackets. So the talent is spread out in that aspect but not throughout the whole conference, but hey there's never a year when every team is really good. From what we've seen from BG, they might not lose until states. I think Someset has the best chance at stopping them. Same as BG having the only chance to stop Somerset. This might be a barn burner

The score was definitely not indicative of the game---but one thing I will say as a Bedford fan is Somerset was probably the classiest High School team I've seen in awhile. Very well coached, hard-hitting--but classy of a team that I've seen since I've been living in this area. I know several of the people we were around that night commented the same--and they earned some local fans (after the season of course, lol).

With that being said, I agree that Somerset wins that game 7/8 out of 10 times. They held the Bedford offense to virtually no sustained drives--with the only offense coming from special teams.
