Bishops vs others in Girls D6
Re: Bishops vs others in Girls D6
They did get a transfer from Westmont. I saw the girl playing with the Pa Pride but not knowing a lot about the players on top of the hill I'm not sure how she is. In other words I don't know if it helps BM or hurts Westmont.
Re: Bishops vs others in Girls D6
I agree with this statement! Working for something special like a championship should be something you can look back on and say that was a lot of commitment and dedication to each other not that we took in a bunch of AAU kids and beat up all the class A teams in the state. It has been an issue for as long as I have been alive….When will the PIAA step in? One of two things could solve the problem! Make all the private schools play Quad A (or whatever the enrollment is for all the people from area schools that attend the particular private school) or Make a separate Division for all of them. D-6 Private Schools!
Re: Bishops vs others in Girls D6
A Public school or two in District 6 are doing it too. Should they have to play up to AAAA?
Re: Bishops vs others in Girls D6
Personally, I doubt there is a public school in D-6 that has recruited where the family does not live in the school district. Now have people picked up their family and moved to a school... that happens. For whatever the reason, that family still pays taxes! I honestly do not see how anyone can see the point of view in support of BG or any other PS. They are their own class... the answer is to make a class for them

Icoach, I know for a fact that there is at least one public school in D6 that has players playing on their team that live in a different school district than where they currently attend school, and it is most certainly because of basketball.

They wouldn't happen to be green would they?TarheelFan wrote:Icoach, I know for a fact that there is at least one public school in D6 that has players playing on their team that live in a different school district than where they currently attend school, and it is most certainly because of basketball.

Re: Bishops vs others in Girls D6
Again, does it happen in public schools? Yes, but not at the rate of BG and other private/charter schools. Five new kids at BG. The ADs of the public schools need to grow a pair and say no. Then the D6 committee members from the public schools have to look at Mr. Cacciotti and say enough. Trying to compare what happened at JV to BG is a joke. It's all class to hang your former teammates out to dry.
Guess it's just a coincidence that private schools dominate the state playoffs. Hey I don't blame them, they have their cake and can eat it to and as long as PIAA and public school ADs don't care why should they? I posted this before, here is a list of people on D6 committee members (at least as of the last time they updated it) Contact them and ask why? Go to the PIAA D6 website and some of the members have links to their email.

Re: Bishops vs others in Girls D6
This is absurd. While I agree in principal, with calling out those in charge, I'd like to know why it is OK to post Committee and administrator's names in a public forum, but it's not OK to post the names of referees, umpires, and other officiating members?
It ain't over until it's over.
Re: Bishops vs others in Girls D6
One is "technically" legal, the other is not.

It came off the District 6 website. All you have to do is go there. If it is against board rules, I apologize. Remove it. Don't care.
