Blairsville vs. BG

Many people are saying this has the potential to be the D6-A title matchup. Does anyone believe Blairsville could compete with BG? Or is this BG's all the way?

Like I said in a previous post, I watched Portage dominate this basically SAME Blairsville team twice last year. So until they prove to me that they're THAT good instead of the Heritage Conference as a whole being down this year making them look better. I wouldn't be surprised If they Bobcats don't even make it to the Championship Game. If they do....Give me Guilfoyle by 28.

I agree with an earlier post that it is interesting that Blairsville has run into some very good private schools in the playoffs. After seeing BG dominate Johnstown and Somerset, is Blairsville, Portage(who could not even handle a Berlin team that is nowhere near what BG is going to bring to the table) or Bellwood going to be any better? Not that anyone cant beat anyone else on any day, but it looks like BG is going to be playing for a while

Blairsville just took out redbank valley 52-6 i believe? If any heritage team would ever be the best pass defense team it would be blairsville. Honestly this game could be closer than imaginable. Its almost like Penns manor from a few years back! Everyone was ready to hand Bellwood the d6 title and it ended up being a blowout for Penns Manor!

Blairsville has gotten a lot better defensively this year with the run. I see them having an easy way to the Finals going throug Chokage in the semi's. Also BG might have to get through Bellwood, which shouldn't be hard, but in rivalry games anything can happen.

The Blairsville Portage matchup last year is irrelevant. All of those juniors are seniors now, new defensive coordinator, etc. Blairsville is a very solid squad, but no one will come close to beating BG. They are the complete package.

Believe me I've read about their defense improving, and their juniors are seniors and I'm sure they've gotten better. HOWEVER, I'm just not sold on them even being in the same stratusphere of Guilfoyle(not saying Portage is close either before you two cry about it).

I am not pretending anything, I do not think that Portage will win a district title.
I think that Somerset is a better team than Berlin so by beating Somerset BG looks stronger to me than Portage that was why I mentioned it.

Where did I say Portage would win the D6 title ?!?!? What does Somerset being better Berlin have ANYTHING to thing to do with Blairsville being competitive with BG in a title game if they get that far ?!?!?
