Seems like from the previous posts on this thread that the young gentleman from Hickory that talked highly about their undersized Offensive and Defensive lines in the news/paper stories really backed it up eh?

For my final summary. Hickory had the right game plan. They spent most of the day with 9 men in the box. Now matter what kind of line you have you can't run against that. Tyrone was never able to make completion s to back them out of that front. Hunter had a great game on the ground last week, not so much today coughing it up several times. The Tyrone D deserves credit. The front played enough to win. Blow coverages accounted for 3 scores. They had two stand with Hickory inside the 10 and gave up 0 points. The one they did punch in for real was first and goal at the 1. Took all 4 tries. To many injuries and to much Hickory. I wish them luck. They definitely had a plan and it worked perfectly

The freshman qb from Hickory managed the game as well as any one I saw all year
Short passes to move the chains never threw a bomb
Ran the ball well when needed
Very impressive in the pocket

3 man rush needs to be reconsidered , Boone and Getz and #33 should have their heads held high all three really left it on the field and gave everything they had today

The better team won. No shame in it. Tyrone played 3 straight games with other team keeping 9&10 in the box and jammed it down their throats anyway. Hickory just came off the ball quick, created space and the soph RB hit every crease. Tip the cap to the. Hornets. Good luck next week
