I agree that wins are more important than any stat like points, assists, or minutes played.... but we have to remember that wins are a TEAM stat. I dont care how good any player is it takes 4 other guys playing together on the floor to win. For this reason you cant say that Melo is better than Lebron. Maybe u have other reasons but this is not a 100% valid arguement.

Small Feeet, Small Feeet!
It doesn't matter statistics on what guys are doing and how good they are playing. Ya Lebron is averaging more points a game then Anthony but Anthony is on a winning team. He's the better player cause he has the team to do it with. Lebron just doesn't have anyone to play with to make him look as good as anthony. If Michael Jordon went through the nba with the same statistics he has without an NBA championship then people wouldn't be saying "I wanna be like Mike". Winning teams are more productive then losing teams. So my hats off to Anthony

The Bulls were terribile in Jordans first few years. They were still the laughing stock of the NBA. It was until they added a few more players that they became the Dynasty that they were. Give the Cavs a few years and a few good players...

folks please. lebron was better in high school, better now, and will be better for the next 100 yrs, unless he falls ill to mad cow disease. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/lebron/line?compId=1975. check that site out. it will tell you the "cavalier effect." it explains that lebron has better stats and has a better business impact on his team. heck, the cavs have more wins now than they did all last season. carmello has done similar things in denver, but denver has some other good players on the team. earl boykins, andre miller, nene hilario, and marcus camby is a much better four than carlos boozer, big Z, kevin ollie, and dajuan wagner. camby and miller are potential all-stars. i cant say that about anybody on the cavs squad except lebron himself.

i think there is a little compitition because the other night lebron scores a career high 36 but then only 2 nights later carmelo scores either 38 or 39

my thoughts exactly england i was just coming on here to type that myself and noticed you did as well.... i think they get a little 2 much publicity... yeah they are good... but they arent near being a dominant player yet... its rediculous how lebron for a 90+ million dollar nike deal and hasnt even done anything yet...

I'm going to have to disagree with the statement "he hasn't done anything yet"... In the long run he hasn't done anything, you're right... no MVP's, no playoffs for the Cavs... but he has shown that he has what it takes to play at this level. He has shown that he has the ability to be a great player in the NBA for years to come. He has shown that he can help make a pretty bad team into a lil bit better of a team in just half a season.

no doubt he has the ability to play at the NBA level... he is a decent player... both of them are a decent players or they wouldnt be in the NBA... i just dont think they deserve all the credit they are getting and having people say they are the best when they havent done anything SOOOO spectacular yet... and by far dont deserve a $90+ million deal. And you say that lebron has already given them more wins... yeah they may have more wins but its not all to his doing... and they playin the eastern conference where if it were to end today that only 5 of the 8 teams going to the playoffs would have winnings records...

No one is trying to say Lebron is better than Michael Jordan was. I definitely think he has done some very spectacular things thus far this season. He is 19!!! and night in night out he gets his 20 pts 6 boards 6 assists, and often times many more. There are only 2 players in the league this year averaging those kind of numbers. Lebron and Kevin Garnett. Garnett is considered by most (including myself) to be MVP this season. Maybe our views of spectacular are different but wow im impressed w/ this TEENAGER. ceese
