So true coach

Post by districtsixhoops »

As for moving ahead in the playoffs, McGinnis said his team won’t change anything. The Bobcats have been playing the same game for three years, and they’re good at it. They are sometimes at a height disadvantage, but win with relentless defense and athleticism.

“There’s so many seniors and they’re so athletic,” he said. “They’re basketball players. There’s so many teams who have one or two good basketball players, but we have a ton. With three years of experience, this is what they should be doing, in my book. They’re a very good group of kids. It only comes in public schools very seldom, so you have to enjoy it while you have it.”

Last sentence is so true. When you have that come along at a public school you have to enjoy it. It's not like you can just reload like the private elites.

... and of course the public charter/magnet schools that seem to attract amazing athletes each year.

I think Blairsville will handle Quigley this evening and expect them to face North Catholic in the next round. I also expect Portage to advance while BG and BC will bow out.
