Looks like Mother Nature has a no-hitter going into the final week of March!

Re: Opening Week!
Clearfield has a good team. Summers is a hard throwing senior lefty and he pitched all 7 for the Bisons. Seemed like everything the Dragons hit was right at someone. It's early and lot of things play into early season baseball. Nice win for Clearfield though no doubt.say_oww wrote:Would that be considered an upset?DragonsDoExist wrote:Clearfield 2

Re: Opening Week!
I heard a rumor that Richland-Somerset was cancelled due to a footwear issue. Richland has contracted to play their home games at Iron Horse, but Iron Horse doesn't allow metal cleats. Well, apparently thats what Somerset, and probably every other team that Richland will be playing has. Oooops. Who signed that contract?
Re: Opening Week!
Most turf surfaces are like that. Same rule applies at Consol Energy Field (Washington Wild Things).

Honestly, I wasn't sure that they were wearing metal in High School. But I'd be surprised that most turf fields outlaw metal. Certainly they allow metal at the Point, and anywhere where Colleges play. You can't expect players to have two sets of shoes.
