Re: April 27-May 2 Scores
At Lilly, in the top of the 6th, after 3 innings of steadily-increasing rain, the lightning & thunder moved in, postponing the game for at least 1/2 hr. The way it was coming down, I left with PC leading 3-2. Chances were good this was going to be called a complete game, and another loss for FH, dropping them to 8-8. Home games with Portage Mon., Somerset Tues., and BC next Fri. away, and a make-up with Westmont away? It's not looking good for a post-season appearance.
It ain't over until it's over.

JV had 3 games this week, surprisingly got them all in. Went 2 -1 with wins over Claysburg (10-3) and Mo Valley (2-1) and a tough loss to Huntingdon (5-2). Overall 12-4 mark, looks like D6A berth is in hand at this point.

Glad to see it wasn't called into any of the papers.

Meyersdale takes it to BMCHS, 3-2. The Red Raiders must be a real deal again, at 15-1. Congrats.

16-5 last year, returned 8 starters, had to be 1 of the leading contenders for a District title, loaded w/ talent,...and sitting at 8-8, needing to win 2 of their last 3 (4 if they play Westy),...Manfred wrote:At Lilly, in the top of the 6th, after 3 innings of steadily-increasing rain, the lightning & thunder moved in, postponing the game for at least 1/2 hr. I haven't made it to a single game. Only read what was written in the paper, and on here. Where did the train leave the tracks? You've been to most games? What's the story behind the under achievement?

I can't quite get a handle on it. Maybe no Sr. leadership? I've heard that mentioned. Last year guys were hitting .400, .450, and this yr. can't bat their weight. Lineup shifts haven't helped. It's like watching gym class softball. No one really gives a cr##.223113 wrote:16-5 last year, returned 8 starters, had to be 1 of the leading contenders for a District title, loaded w/ talent,...and sitting at 8-8, needing to win 2 of their last 3 (4 if they play Westy),...Manfred wrote:At Lilly, in the top of the 6th, after 3 innings of steadily-increasing rain, the lightning & thunder moved in, postponing the game for at least 1/2 hr.
