Month of May Pirates thread

Post by konjo78 »

That way we don't have a brand new thread every 4-5 days repeating the same ideas.

12-10 so far is about what I expected. I predicted 88-74 final, which is close to what their present record will project. The injury bug and expected slumps will determine where they finish. Not in 1st in the division.

Until they can beat St. Louis on a consistent basis, they're not going to win the division.

The Bucco's cannot get a clutch hit with runners in scoring position for the LIFE of them. Just continually pissing away great starting pitching.

Was watching interview with Huntington the other day. It looks like Morton will be back shortly and they expect Tallion before or shortly after the break to be " ready to help us"... So if there's no injuries, I'm guessing Worley and Locke to pen?

I'd imagine so, especially if they can't get things together and atleast bring their ERA's back down under 4...or atleast closer to it.

They can't keep Josh Bell and Tyler Glasnow in AA too much longer. I assume they will be in Indy by July.

If they pirates can keep Kang hitting and stay relatively healthy, you gotta wonder if Walker will be dealt at the deadline.

And meanwhile.....where is Harrison? Nice fat contract, little to show for it. I almost expected it. Marte has been somewhat of a savior so far. Where would they be w/o him?
