Ferndale v.s Juniata Valley game suspended due to rain. Will pick back up again tomorrow. Currently tied 3-3 in the top of the 4th.

Re: D6 A Playoffs
How bout the wierdness in this JV Ferndale game. Play through the rain for 4 innings, and watch the JV pitcher struggle in his last half (due to wet and rain, footing was horrible) and give up a few runs on an obvious foul ball that was called fair (trust me it wasn't even close). Then the second run that scored on the foul ball call is called out because he misses the plate, the Ferndale coaches come out and scream at the ump the ball was foul ???? Whaaattt!!!
Both bad calls hold up, the game continues, and JV gets out of their half of the inning, to go onto bat and put the first two runners on via walks. The Ferndale coaches come out and complain about the footing, the umps confer, and then suspend the game. JV Fans go away pissed they have to drive the whole way back over to Ferndale to play the last 3. The rain actually stopped as they decided to suspend the game.
Wierd :) Thats why the play 7 I guess.
Game picks up with two JV runners on first and second, no out. They were hitting the Ferndale pitcher hard, I suspect Ferndale will change things a bit when play resumes.
The Ferndale field also needs a huge face lift. No dugouts, very very short right field and right center has the bleachers protuding out; All fans sit in foul territory to the first base line; not very safe for the older folks sitting their. I am surprised they were not made to play the game at another field close to their home field, like point stadium or J-town field.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was the Goisavich ump-ing crew.
It ain't over until it's over.

Go Green Hornets!! Second year in a row to the title game, this year they're on a mission for that elusive first D6A Baseball trophy. Good Luck!
Congrats to the Ferndale team, they have nothing to be down about. A phenomenal year for a D6A sports program that doesn't get to many teams to go this far and be this successful.

JV's season comes to a close in the western final lose 3 - 1 to Eisenhower. Pitcher (I believe his last name is Vincent) was tough to figure out. Great season Hornets, awesome run. Thanks for the memories
