I have a hard time finding them at SI, CNN, ESPN, etc. Especially ones that glaring. Anyway, I'm not going to get into a nerd fight.

....LMAO!! SI, CNN, ESPN.........we are a small, volunteer run site...they have editors and millions of dollars...but thanks for comparing us to them.peytonsaturday wrote:I have a hard time finding them at SI, CNN, ESPN, etc. Especially ones that glaring. Let me rephrase, sites who claim to be credible don't have such glaring typos, and obvious (even before you admitted it) haste to get stuff done. And since you put out "All State" teams, you'd think you'd find typos that a kid in 5th grade student could find.

like I said, volunteer run. you are more than welcome to apply as editor..the countless hrs a week I put in the site take up enough time. By the way...you've obviously read the other 33...and you complain because ONE had typos....I'd say I did pretty dang good. Let me know when your site is up and running.peytonsaturday wrote:Let me rephrase, sites who claim to be credible don't have such glaring typos, and obvious (even before you admitted it) haste to get stuff done. last response, because I refuse to get into a nerd fight. But constructive criticism....look it up. And it appears you already have an editor....looks like the "CEO" needs fired!!!

"constructive criticism"??? You've seen ONE mistake and rip into me about my site and tell me I'm drunk? Maybe it's you who needs to look it up. A simple "hey, did you know there was a typo" would have been constructive. Oh, and love the insults but...well...you'd be the only nerd in the fight. I wasn't nerd enough to notice the typo.peytonsaturday wrote:last response, because I refuse to get into a nerd fight. But constructive criticism....look it up.

I'll stick up for Bill here, Volunteers spend countless hours to make a football season possible. I enjoy the time that I spend each fall raising money for the kids. Other spend tons of time on the field and yes other make lists and review teams and players. I am not going to run this down. Westernpafootball is really the only exposure that this area every gets now. With the sale of PaFootballlNews (which is god aweful) this is where I go to see what's happening. I can over look the typo's if he gets the players right.
In a few weeks the Mirror which has a large staff, will release the PreSeason Blitz. I will be onboard if his 100 doesn't match the featured players in the magazine. They are picked by the coaches who know the player best, and want them to represent the team. For now though its fun to look each day and see about the kids. I watch a lot of football, so the season will testify to how legit the list actual is. Right now though 6'5 300 can seem like a real bull, by season end though, a 6'5 300 Peter Pan shouldn't make the list. You know Never Never Land. I'll take 6'2 240/250 guys that can move on my team.

I am peyton's side here.... there are individual's who try and act like professionals on this site because they write up a few blogs or have non profit sites, not because they want it to be non profit because it isn't quality enough to make a profit. He was trying to give valid criticism here about the unprofessional that is presented at an incredible rate. If Bill is taking huge offense to it well it is proving Peyton's point even more that he isn't anywhere close to a valid source and his content should be viewed like everyone else's on here, a bias amateur point of view.

@ TAHS....My list isn't a who's who....it's simply a list of players brought to me by coaches, fans from all over (including this site if you remember) and other media members from districts 5,6,7,8,9 and 10. It by no means is affiliated with the mirror, nor do I even have an idea who they will feature. Their area of coverage is MUCH smaller and they get their players from the same coaches so I'm sure they'll feature some of the players that coaches sent my way. As I said though, this is NOT a top players in the state list. I've simply done it to recognize players from as many teams and areas as I could.
As for you Konjo....Our sites, yes, we have two, are not in this for profit nor are we claiming to be professional. We simply do it for the love of the sport. If there is a criticism we can take it..but try making it actually constructive. Starting out with "I've lost all respect...go home you're drunk" isn't going to fly as constructive. Especially over a typo, and I might point out, your criticism started out with a typo...did I tell you you're drunk and go home???
