Pens acquire Phil Kessel
Re: Pens acquire Phil Kessel
Can you refresh my memory on who won the Conn Smythe in 2009? Crazy award for a playoff choke artist. Unlike the Flyers the Penguins don't measure their success off of beating a particular team. I guess when your favorite team has had a handful of decent years sprinkled within 30 straight years of mediocracy, it's the little victories that count.

Worst part about all of this, Konjo is not alone. Go onto the Pens Facebook page and look at some of the comments.
Somebody said, and I quote: "oh Jesus, I'm no longer a Pittsburgh sports fan. Who in thei right mind would want that fat ****, underachieving piece of trash as their teammate???!!!"
Like Konjo, everybody thinks they are a GM. But guaranteed when Kessel lights the lamp 50 times and helps lead the pens to a cup they will be the same people up his ****!

Konjo reminds me of Hal Gill.

Did anybody see what Pete Karmanos said about the trade?

Heard the flyers are hot and heavy after Patrick sharp.... That could give the cap a kick in the nadskonjo78 wrote:Thank god I can breathe easy flyers weren't clearing all the space for thus guy. He is by far one of the most overhyped players that were expected to move. He went to the leafs to take them to the next step but fell flat on his face. With the cap hit he'll take this is going to create nightmares for the pens the rest of the offseason and down the road.

I hope they end up missing out on sharp. Solid player but his price is too big. Much rather be focused on a few defenders.
And 50 goals? I'd make.a.wager that won't happen next year for kessel. He'll be lucky to get 30

Re: Pens acquire Phil Kessel
He's a consistent 30 goal scorer his entire career... Why would you think his numbers will decrease playing with two of the top centers in hockey and being on a potentially lethal power play? Do you have any reason for your asanine comments or are you blindly making ludicrious statements as per usual?

Plus he wasn't even a 30 goal scorer last year!!!! You can't say he's consistent when the previous season he didn't even hit the mark

In his 9 years he's scored more than 30 5 times... 2 out of the last 3 years he has had less than thirty. Posting 20 3 years ago and 25 last season.
