I'm saying they're good coaches. You don't have to like them. But lets be honest, how much "coaching" do the guys from Lilly, Cernics, Ebensburg, Portage (when they fielded a team), and Patton actually do? Very little. They're more of the cheerleader type who simply encourage and fill out lineup cards.

Define "coaching."
Portage has always been very well drilled, same with Ebensburg. The skill level of their players has dropped, that's all.
Patton won a playoff series last year against Richland on a squeeze play, makes bunt calls, etc. Cernic's runs a variety of pickoff plays.
No offense to Claysburg coach because he's a good old-school baseball guy, but the biggest "coaching" move he's made in the past five years is getting the kids from Central to play Legion.

Portage is drilled due to their HS program. Cernics running pickoff plays does not mean they are well coached.

Until a team wins the regional tournament I don't think anyone will be impressed.

Bedford downs Patton 5-2, Cernic's upsets Lilly, Stoystown forfeits the series to St. Michael. Not enough available players. Maybe they should claim Portage's off free agency? LOL
