Local Blood On ESPN Today...

Thought I'd post this for any Little League baseball enthusiasts out there that might be interested. My cousin John Plummer is a coach for the Virginia entry out of Mechanicsville. His son Caden also plays right feild for the team. They take on the Florida team in the Southeast regional semi-final today at 3:00pm and will air on ESPN.

John and his wife Alisha Albrano Plummer were both born and raised in nearby Potage. It's my understanding that both their sons have also won multiple youth wrestling state titles in Virginia as well. Good luck boys!

Update..


Virginia beat Tampa Fla 5-2 today. Great game by both teams. Caden Plummer makes diving catch in right field to end the game! Next game is tomorrow at 5:00 pm. They will play the South Carolina entry in the Southeast final. It will be on ESPN as well.

I saw on Facebook A LOT of Portage folk rooting on Team Virginia and especially young Caden who made an that incredible diving catch in right field during the game. Good Luck to the them....Portage is watching !!!

That catch was ESPN play of the day. Pretty cool!
