Wheeler's verbal commitment jumped Pitt to 75th in the nation. Hard to believe considering a new coach usually brings excitement and an uptick in recruiting right off the bat.

Penn State picks up another huge commit for 2016 today in DT Karamo Dioubate from Philly Prep Charter. He's a 4 Star Prospect, 4th overall in PA and had scholarship offers from literally every big name program you can think of.

Since this may affect recruiting, I see where Penn State AD Sandy Barbour has pulled off another scheduling coup. Penn State football team will open the 2019 season at home against Idaho. The Vandals are 2-20 in the last 2 years under head coach Paul Petrino.

And this effects recruiting how again ??? Boy I can just hear the recruits now talkin it up on their couches with the coaches... "You know I don't think I can come to Penn State because I saw you're playing Idaho in 2019". Please just shut up Moldo or you're going to end up like Titan where maybe 5 people will actually see what you post because everyone has you ignored.

However in ACTUAL Penn State recruiting news. Four Star Safety from Hickory High School Andrew Pryts just made the decision to verbally commit to the Nittany Lions for the 2016 season.

How does scheduling Idaho help recruiting? Kids who eventually do not make the first team will at least get to play a lot when the Vandals come to town. Except for OSU, Michigan and MSU, don't you think recruits would want to play a schedule that could get them an invite to play for the National Championship? I mean Temple, Buffalo, Army, San Diego St? Bring on the Vandals. Sagarin has Idaho ranked 166th out of 253 this year. There are 40 I-AA teams ranked ahead of them. Yes, a coup for Ms. Barbour.
