A lot more than just the team is included in this asking price... but I'm sure you didn't actually read the article.

Doesn't change the fact the team is up for sale again. It'll be interesting who buys them and where they are from.

It doesn't matter where they are from... they are up for sale because it's a business. The current ownership group is going to cash in on an investment and Mario is going to still be involved. Nothing is going to change except the names on the bottom of the check. This is some futile attempt by you to make something out of nothing.

Some people might think it'd be a great investment to move the pens roster to a big Canadian city like toronto. If they do so well financially in a small market imagine how well they would benefit from a huge market

I'm sure konjo is well aware of the lease agreement with CEC, Pittsburgh, and the franchise. I'm also sure he is aware of the fact nearly 30 ACRES of downtown Pittsburgh real estate is included in the price. I'm also sure he is Toronto already has a hockey team.

But I totally agree. I really think the new owner is going to want to buy one of the already most profitable franchises, pay astromical penalties to break the lease agreement for CEC, leave a state of the art facility, build a new arena in a unfamiliar market, still own 28 acres of property in downtown Pittsburgh, go to battle against 29 other NHL owners that want a successful franchise to stay in Pittsburgh, and move a franchise that's value has grown about 750% in the past 15 years.

Now that would be one smart businessman.
