Where would they get them? Have you seen Central Cambria's record? How about Penn Cambria? Cambria Heights? Blacklick Valley?

Them as a team may be poor, but I'm sure each school has one or two solid players that if those 10-15 kids came together could be a solid team. I don't know for sure since I haven't seen any of those schools play yet.

Sponsky and Koren would be in the same situation because you have a administration now that doesn't hold football high on the list. For years you had Koren as principal after that the wife of one of the assistant coaches took over as principal. Then you had some down years because you got a new principal that put education first sports last. The following principal was offensive coordinator next thing you know western finals who knows what happened there and now you got the new administration and there is no freedom to got out and talk to kids. The program will never recover, Joe is a good coach in a real bad situation.

You say these things like it's a bad thing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the main purpose of schools to educate; and not win championships?

I totally agree just proving a point that Coach Ridgely is fighting a upward battle with very little help

Check back those years when Shilling/ Cruickshank/ Forcellini etc. were dominant. Some of their better athletes came from Nanty-Glo. It's no secret, the past couple years at least, the better Blacklick kids are staying HOME and the Vikings are the better for it.
It ain't over until it's over.

Haven't heard the "recruit" words since Carroll isn't winning....The problem there has nothing to do with the head coach, a QUALITY guy...ADMINISTRATION is the #1 problem. And it has nothing to do with the principal!

Ridgely is a puppet hired by the current administration, he knows his role
Maybe he is a great guy but this program should not be this bad
