ICC Week 5
ICC Week 5
WEEK 5
Last Week: 5-0 Season: 15-2
First perfect week last week although, admittedly, there was only one game that appeared to be a tossup going in and somehow I missed and didn’t even pick the SH-TM game.
Williamsburg (1-3) at Tussey Mountain (0-4)
I saw where the Altoona Mirror staff went unanimous for the Blue Pirates on the road in this mornings paper. I am very tempted to go against the media favorites in this one. This is a game that TM is capable of winning. Tempted as I am……I’ll take the safe bet Williamsburg 20 Tussey 18
Everett (2-2) at West Branch (2-2)
This is a tough one to call. Both teams have had ups and downs thus far and might be two of the most difficult teams to gauge in the league right now. Everett’s got a long trip and that favors the Northern Warriors. West Branch 27 Everett 20
Juniata Valley (1-3) at Mo Valley (4-0)
Juniata Valley appears to be improving a bit but the trip to Houtzdale might set them back a couple weeks. Mo Valley rolling up 400+ yards of offense per game and Sherkel in the mid-700 all purpose yard range. Mo Valley 51 Juniata Valley 14
Bellwood (2-2) at Mount Union (2-2)
Hard to believe the loser of this game will be sub .500 at midseason but that’s what is at stake in this matchup. This is another tossup on a tough week of games in the ICC. How will Mt. Union respond after a loss to Mo Valley is the key question here? I say, not as well as they should… Bellwood 21 Mount Union 20
Glendale (0-4) at Claysburg (2-2)
Glendale showed a pulse for a half last week versus West Branch. Claysburg looks to be the surprise team in the ICC this year if they maintain the effort shown in most games. It’s Homecoming in Claysburg which is even a bigger deal than at most schools and the Dawgs look to go above .500 in front of a big crowd. Quentin Burket has 524 yards rushing and this game will boost his chances at a 1,000+ yard season. Burket gets 250 in a Bulldog homecoming romp. Claysburg 48 Glendale 6
GAME OF THE WEEK
Southern Huntingdon (3-1) at Northern Bedford (4-0)
Southern is much improved and the Carowick’s have accumulated nearly 1,000 all-purpose yards already this year. NB’s explosive offense has been tempered somewhat the last two weeks and Southern is averaging 30 points per game themselves. NB has put up 800 yards in the air this year and features the Wideout tandem of Jake’s (Cherry and Dasher). This has lots of offense written all over it and I'll go with the Rockets offense to outpoint the Panthers. Southern Huntingdon 36 Northern Bedford 34.

Re: ICC Week 5
Should be some great games in the ICC this week!
Williamsburg over Tussey
This one could go either way. Who ever turns the ball over the least comes out the winner of this game.
WB over Everett
MV over JV
JV will have a difficult time stopping the speed of Sherkel
MU over Bellwood
Another good matchup. Can MU play sound enough football to beat Bellwood? MU will have to minimize its penalties and turnovers. If they can do that they have a shot. If not its Bellwoods game.
Claysburg over Glendale
NBC over SH
I plan on heading out to see this one. Hoping for a great game.
