West Pac Week 7 Predictions

West Pac Week # 7 Predictions (YTD-26-4)

Ferndale (0-6) @ Blacklick Valley (2-4)
What to say about anyone vs. Ferndale
Prediction Blacklick Valley 35-14

NorthStar (2-4) @ Shade (1-5)
The interesting thing about this one is that Shade needs to win out to squeak into the playoffs. North Star on the other hand needs to win two more games to get in. Based on the schedule’s I would say Shade has a easier path. This is a must win for both teams and I think Shade gets it done in a close one
Prediction Shade 28-21

Windber (1-5) @ Conemaugh Valley (4-2)
Conemaugh Valley is a team that is getting better each week. Windber has had a tough year so far and it looks to continue. CV is looking to sneak into the playoffs in D6 and this week they should get another win and hold their current 8th and final spot. They need to get this one under their belt and prepare for battle for the West Pac front runners in back to back weeks.

Prediction Conemaugh Valley 42-14

Berlin (6-0) @ Meyersdale (4-2)
The preverbal backyard brawl. All indications tell us that Berlin should handle the Red Raiders. However, this game is notorious for weird things happening. Meyersdale will step up for this one as these two teams tell us over and over that you can throw records, stats and hype out the window. Meyersdale will have to play mistake free if they want to keep this one close. Berlin should prevail and being that it is the backyard brawl they possibly will not call off the dogs until a bit later than whatmiddle of the second quarter.
Prediction Berlin 56-7

Portage (5-1) @ Conemaugh Twp. (5-1)
This could be the game of the week. Look for CT to feed their workhorse to try to keep the Mustangs high scoring offense off the field. CT most likely will limit their pass attempts, although that is an area they could possibly exploit. I really don’t think CT will be able to stop the Mustangs offense as they are firing on all cylinders. Considering the way CT has been playing as of late many might figure this could in fact be a close game with the possibility of a upset. My feelings are that Portage has too many athletes and pulls away from CT in the second half.
Prediction Portage 42-21
