Guru's Week 9 LHAC Preview and Picks

Post by Guru »

CC hosts BM
This is a welcome back of sorts for new McCort head coach Artrell Hawkins...err I mean, Brian Basile, as he was part of the CC staff back in the early 80's.  CC is on a roll winning 3 of their last 4 games and RB Kerry Kirsch is coming off of a school record 43 carries.  McCort has lost their last 6 games and is 1-7.  CC will have to enact the "No Fly Zone" because BM has some speed and that spells trouble for the Devils.  Also the LBs will need to do their jobs or that read option will kill CC.  Look for this to be a battle to the end.  If TJ Adams plays the whole game, CC wins.  If he doesn't, BM wins.
Pick'em

Bedford hosts CH
Bison stomp a hole in the Kilts bag pipe on their way to 9-0...  Don't be salty CH fans.  Bedford wins every week!

Johnstown hosts BG
Do I hear taps playing or is that the fat lady singing?  Oh no... that is just the air being stomped out of the Kilts bagpipes...  BG destroys Jtown in front of the hometown crowd of 37 fans.

Bailey Bowl XIX - Sponsored by Snickers
Brandon and his Rams need a win to stay in the playoff hunt and the Rangers need a win to make it into the playoffs.  Look for the battered Rams, who have been decimated by injuries, to struggle.  Big Daddy Don Bailey will have his boys ready for that fancy speed turf at Paul Ludwig Stadium on Nathan Gironda Field in Richland.  Look for the Rams Numero Uno to have 20 tackles, a pick, a take-down, a fireman's carry, a cradle and 3 back points... but alas... even Numero Uno can't do it all.
Rangers by 3... touchdowns

BC hosts Westy
Look for the playoff bound Hilltoppers to get the win in Ebensburg Saturday afternoon.  Although BC is struggling they have shown that they are getting better, they have a great stadium and a fantastic Head Ball Coach.

Somerset hosts PC
The Eagles have seemed to have caught a case of the funk the past couple of weeks.  Hosting PC is just what the Doctor ordered.  I look for the Eagles to score early and often as they soar to victory.
