High School football should not be played on grass in December.  In fact it shouldn't be played at all in December.

It's a dang shame Johnstown, Richland or Somerset can't be used for this game.  In the future I'm sure this will be one for that supersite venue getting constructed at Windber.

Berlin will surely show out... the afore mentioned state playoff game with Rochester years back, their faithful pretty much filled the entire home side bleachers.

Sadly, I don't believe CT is a site worthy of a state playoff game, but it looks like it's the best they could hope for.
Berlin apparently pushed for Richland and/or Johnstown, but it was District 5 that shut it down. They wanted it kept in the district, but I sure would have liked to see at Trojan Stadium.
That's too bad.  I don't get it though.  Somerset wasn't mad about Richland being a D6 site rather than a D5 site were they?

Wade is always arguing with players and coaches and fans on Twitter. It's such a bad look, it's unbelievable. He got in an argument with the Bishop Guilfoyle quarterback a few weeks ago.   If you are a head coach, it's probably not in you best interest to be getting in social media fight. Makes you look like a jackass.
That facebook group is the WORST.  That is a fanbase that is spoiled, never satisfied and entirely too paranoid.  I joked last year that it would take a lot for me to root for a Catholic school in Altoona over a public school but they did it!  That trib article already has the pre-ordained excuse wired and the coach is doing nothing but feeding into the fan base.  I remember when the 12th Man Show was still around, a guy would call almost every week, brag about how great they were out of one side of his mouth while on the other, trash Tom Nola and say he didn't know what he was doing.  The posters in that group, it's always something. The refs are out to get us.  Their kids were punching our kids, calling them names, etc, etc.  I didn't know Wade was on twitter, but one of the assistants is.. he tweets like he's one of the kids.  Super unprofessional.

Maybe good old coach Wade can get Charlie Batch to make them a video of why they shouldn't  be playing on grass. Clariton should not even be in the playoffs after last year's turn of events but here we are again. Are they really sorry?  Have they really learned?  I don't think so..   I hope the PIAA has learned their lesson over this.  Give some people an inch and they'll take you a mile.....

Honestly, that group is nuts... they're going in on Kevin Gorman because he mentioned Daniel Payo is the only white starter on the team... it's a complementary article and they're still up in arms.

I have a feeling I'll be getting deleted out of that group in no time as I'm not on the "everyone against us" mentality bandwagon.
