Would you be able to have 3 2,000 rushing seasons Coffin Corner?

lol he beat up the westpac, setting that record by playing halves of games. I guess would could just double his yardage and call it even, right? I mean he didn't rush for 250 on Clairton last year or 100+ when the focused on him this year and 150+ on a huge farrell team. lol

CoffinCorner wrote:Yes he did rush for a lot of yardage against some incredibly weak competition.   Let it sink in that shady mccoy was outstanding in college and is currently in the NFL.   Fochtman will be neither.  Wonder how many yards Mccoy would have had on the westpac
Why are you so hateful? Can't you just be happy for someone?

Why would anyone degrade Fochtman? The kid didn't pick who he played for or against, all he did was went out on the field and worked. What more could you ask a high school kid to do? Congratulations to him and Berlin on a great season!

He had a great season and set all time records , hats off to him, have met him And older brother And they are great people but the original poster was talking about his stats being better than Mccoy, a comparison between the two
When shadow Smith had his great game this year no one was comparing him to Tyler Boyd

There was no comparison. The poster stated that he had passed Shady in state rushing yards. He wasn't stating that he was a better player or anything. Putting up 100+ yards in 3 out of 3 games against teams that are 100-200 bigger then him is an accomplishment and worthy. Shadow Smith had ONE good game against the 2nd worst team in the westpac. Without Smith, Windber would have easily lost to Blacklick.

I can't believe the uproar I created from that simple post. I mean yeah clearly McCoy was/is better. But still Fochtman managed to be in the elite class of 6000+ yard rushers and there are only 26 in state history if I'm right. I'm pretty sure he's around the middle of that bunch, but the wiki that had the list has been taken down recently so I'm not 100% certain on where he ranks. Anyways if it was so easy for a good back on a solid team to beat up weak local teams wouldn't there be more 6000 yard rushers? It's more about his consistency and durability. Hell, I didn't know til this morning he was playing injured most of the Clairton game and all of the Farrell game and he still had really good games.
