Yea, no chance Joseph gets any lower than 49. If he wants to scratch the lineup, he's gonna have to do so at 65 unless zain and nolf move up. As for Hall, Nickal and Cutch will have to move up on their own for him to get a spot at 74 unless he can beat Nickal. Nickal wont move up a weight just to allow Hall in the lineup.
Re: Penn State keeps rolling to number 1!
Last match I watched they said Nikal has the tall lanky frame to pack on more weight to possibly even tak macintoshs spot. Mise well move up a weight sombody to fit him in the lineup. From what I hear of hall no one will beat him. He is that good to move right in and take a spot. The more the merrier. Penn state will have guys that will be on the bench that would be top 10 ranked wrestlers. Cortez beat conaway 5-4, he is one this year. They are all good. Sanderson will find a way to make it work and put the best lineup in and red shirt the others. You never know from year to year. They are kids. To put on ten lbs and move up is nothing. They still will be number one anyway you look at it.
Re: Penn State keeps rolling to number 1!
They aren't going to mess with the number 1 174 pounder if he wants to move up he will, if he wants to stay he will....also read Joseph might transfer
Re: Penn State keeps rolling to number 1!
Who is ready for a Penn State shutout tonight at home vs Michigan State? They have no ranked wrestlers on their team! Maybe hit 50 points tonight.
Re: Penn State keeps rolling to number 1!
Darn Gullibon lost again! No shut out.
Re: Penn State keeps rolling to number 1!
Someone was telling me that Nevills has to somehow LOSE a B10 tourney match and go through Consys to get enough matches to qualify for Nat's.?
It ain't over until it's over.
Re: Penn State keeps rolling to number 1!
Oh wow! I didn't hear that, but it may be true to have so many matches in to qualify. He will probably have to wrestle the top guys anyways and will probably lose and go to consy and wrestlebacks anyways. He will have a low ranking with hardly any wrestled matches this year. He is 1-1 now. Gullibon is hurting penn st. now. I would go kade moss unless jim beats him. Gullibon lost it. He use to be good.He doesn't look like he lifts weights like the other wrestle do. He has been losing to non-ranked wrestlers.

Re: Penn State keeps rolling to number 1!
Daton Fix was the last person to beat Spencer Lee and btw Spencer is back wrestling for Franklin Regional again. I don't think any of Cael's recruits have gone through the system without a RS so it will more than likely happen to Suriano and Hall. I haven't heard anything about Suriano taking his next year yet but it could be likely. Hall seemed to be leaning toward taking next year off via either RS or possibly grey shirt and working out at the regional training center. Hall has never beaten Nickal in his three chances, freestyle or folk. Joseph isn't making 141 or 149, he didn't make 157 at the Scuffle. I doubt Jimmy can make 133 next year but that may be his only option if Cortez can beat him for 141. Nevills doesn't need 8 matches to qualify for nationals, all he has to do is steal an allocation from 1 of the Big Ten wrestlers (which seems to be around 7 spots) to get in. Kyle Snyder will more than likely be taking one of them so that makes it even harder for Nick. If he can finish 6th or higher at the Big Tens, he should be in. I think PSU has a great shot at winning nationals but by 30 points, I very highly doubt it.

I agree! Iowa is actually shutting out teams and not even giving up 10 pts a match vs good teams. I actually think Iowa is better than penst. right now with gullibon struggling and nevilles just back. They have ranked wrestlers in almost every class too and when they wrestle, bonus pts will be tough to get. So it will come down to who wins 6 matches and right now that would probably favor Iowa. Gillman, clark, grothus, rhodes, 184, and hwt Iowa will win. Grothus and rhodes aren't great, but gullibon and our 165 are bad right now and theirs are coming on. Rasheed isn't in shape and loses in the 3rd period and jim just doesn't have it anymore.
