Central returns 3 players who received All-State recognition in C Trevor Miller, DE Cam Norris and RB/DB Alex Hoenstine. In total the Dragons return 4 out of 5 on the OL. The defense which was outstanding in their state semifinal run should be a strong suit again this year with 8 starters returning including Hoenstine, Norris, DT Brice Brumbaugh, OLB Kyle Dodson, and MLB Jared Smith who played outstanding last year as a Soph. Elijah Benton will also be back at WR/CB after missing all of last season with an injury.

Agree that Bedford was excellent last year but they have a lot to replace.
Also thought Juniata was senior heavy.
Where is Huntington at going into this year?

Manfred, with Bedford and Somerset graduating strong senior classes and FH getting them at home this year, could be winnable games
Always bet on the incumbent (previous winner or winners) until proven otherwise.

Central will be the favorite heading into season. Juniata is always a wild card. Bedford should take a dip lot of seniors last year. Huntington I'm not sure how they will fate but they have a huge role to replace since Wagner will be gone. Tyrone should be good still a young team and new qb this year. FH I believe will make a big improvement this year if they can stay healthy in the past couple years they have been crippled by injuries.

Border will fill in nicely for Wagner at Huntingdon. Real nice player.

I think we could see a Juniata/Central match..Juniata lost some studs but the way they beat teams their underclassmen got tons of experience. I do agree with your other evals....

I could see that. Just depends on how much Juniata lost. How is Centrals qb gonna be since Benton will be gone. Just asking cause every team is gonna be gunning for Hoenstine the qb might have to make some plays if teams can contain Hoenstine.
