peytonsaturday wrote:Each head coach "drafted" schools for a more competitive balance.  Homer Center could (not sure if) be on the south squad and Meyersdale (ditto from above) could be on the North team.  Each coach selects if he wants to coach the "south" or "north".  Obviously they coach their own teams.  They then "draft" schools.  Hope this helps.
Thanks very much.  It does.  I'm not crazy about it, but from reading what Cory wrote on the topic, if they keep the format they'll ditch the North-South monikers.

Gee. Why don't we call the 2 teams the Democrats and the Republicans? Or the yings and the yangs. Whats wrong with N-S ? It is geographical, not meant to be socially correct. Or does every kid participating now get a trophy, and instead of shaking hands they hold hands in a circle and instead of the Star Spangled Banner they sing Kum-Bay-Ya?
It ain't over until it's over.

Why does it matter what it is called??  North/South is fine it's the traditional name keep it.  The coaches drafting is pretty cool I think.  Makes it a little more interesting.  People always have to find a reason to **** about stuff that really doesn't matter...

I don't think they're doing away with North/South to be PC, but because it makes no sense. How much sense does it make it Meyersdale were on the "North" team, and Saltsburg on the "south". Calm down Trumpers.

This topic was to talk about the game play, not to argue something dumb. Just let it be. Nobody went to the game? nobody has any real input?
