Plus the same year i went the North ended up beating the south for the first time in a while and that really made it special to the north players too. Not that winning matters sometimes it feels better when someone is a clear underdog in these things.

You forgot to mention one perk is seeing how many other schools' stickers they can get on their helmets.
It ain't over until it's over.

Why not just make this game D6 vs D5, throw portage , Blacklick, Ferndale and CV to the D5 team as they play in westpac.

What a joke. You do realize this years game was dominated by Somerset Co and Bedford Co schools.

No, in this game D-5 and the Westpac schools are always on the same level as Heritage and LHAC. You're taking the best from each team, not the whole team.

So why not play it D5 vs D6.   Current format could have kids from same school playing against each other.   Hank you are arguing that it would be a fair matchup, why not play it,    let teammates and conference team play together and let the argument of the district be played out on the field.
Also let's go back to two kids per school

The teams are drafted not the individual players so teammates could not play against each other.
