Way too little, way too late. Appreciate your enthusiasm, but take off the rose colored glasses. It is what it is.
It ain't over until it's over.

I assume you saw the guy holding up his little sign last night. Pirates will come within a game of the playoffs. Then I will sing.

Haha, I saw a kid holding a chicken-scratched sign about it not being over til the fat lady sings.
12HankQB, just hold off on stoking that fire.
Manfred, forgive me if I've already said this, but I have adopted a saying as my own, that my Dad learned in the Marines, and I watched him live out his whole life. I hope the Pirates believe something similar: "The difficult, we'll do right away. The Impossible,...will just take a little longer."

The bucco fan in me says they still have a slim chance.  The realist in me says the starting pitching for the next three games is Brault, Hutchison, and Vogelsong,  and the sound I hear is that slim chance being deflated.
The easiest thing to do in sports is hustle.

but, with Harrison, Bell, Cutch, Polanco, Kang, Cervelli, Mercer, Frazier, Freese, and Sean Rod...they "should" have enough fire power to overcome the slim pitchin. Emphasizing the word SHOULD

Thaaaat's it 12HankQB. I see you've come back inside, off the ledge. You're thinking clearly again. Not clouded by the frustration of a brutal Loss fresh in your mind. Glad to have you back, haha!    All kidding aside, I agree with your thoughts about overcoming a ho-hum pitching performance. When I see that lineup, day in, and day out, they should be scoring 7-8 (or more) runs every game. KING KANG is back. Cutch is coming around. Along with all the others you named, it'll happen.

Like I said in the new thread, 14-10 best case scenario.
It ain't over until it's over.
