Re: How to beat BG?
technically..but they still have to beat 5 other playoff teams, only different by 1 game. Basically, the mercy rule round of playoffs was eliminated12HankQB wrote:You and I agreed on something. I said this a while back. One game and you're in.GoldenRamsFAN wrote:That's dumb

And what is this. Based on? Historically the D9/10 winner has been much more competitive against the D7 winner than has D5, yes I know that last year Berlin beat Clariton,GoldenRamsFAN wrote:D5 should beat them though
Hank, there are 7 D5 A teams and 24 A teams in D7,. So are you saying that we should take a smaller percentage of these teams to the Playoffs so that D7 has to play other districts before the semi's? Not sure how that would be fair to D7 schools
Re: How to beat BG?
I understand this, but it was just that way ummm last year? Everyone had to play at least 2 games in the state round to get in. District 5 can't help that the WPIAL created their overly large district, while annexing District 8 (City Schools) with 9 city schools of different classifications. Why not just add that to their already oversized district as well?youngbuck wrote:And what is this. Based on? We have 3 counties in D5....why? One of which (Fulton) doesn't even have football. So we have two counties coming together to play. What sense does that make since neighboring D6-D7 are so close by.

Re: How to beat BG?
There have been teams apply for membership to District 5 and they were denied by District 5, so whose fault is it that there are so few teams ,
Re: How to beat BG?
Who?? The problem is there's 7 teams in the district without a football team. They have other sports so if you add teams you make the other sports much larger

Portage multiple times
Re: How to beat BG?
but that's well into D6. You might as well have those south of that line too that are not LHAC, Ferndale, CV, Claysburg, Central, Ligonier. Anyhow, we're well off topic because someone had to bash D5 over nothing. Does Jtown beat BG?

Portage isn't well inside District 6. They share a border with a District 5 school - Chestnut Ridge.
