If you read correctly you would see that a regular decision does you no good in this situation. You need a fall--that is why I would pick Schalles, Kolat, Haselrig, Williams, or Mayfield.

I'd also go back a few years to the 70's. Glenn Burket was not only a great hight school wrestler, no one scored a point against him his senior year, he also did extremely well in college (NCAA All American).

Wade Schalles

As legend and folk lore goes, in 1969 Wade Schalles is the guy who predicted he would pin his opponent John Chatman from Trinity district VII(a returning state champ) in the state finals. He even marked the spot on the mat..... He the man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

According to legend he would put a small X of athletic tape down on the mat where he was going to pin his guy. If he didnt have the guy over that X he would let him up.

well, I don't know about all of that....he got pretty bold when he was in college, but....the only X story I got was in college when he was going for his 100th win...

Terry Williams was 101-5 with 88 pins...he could hit that headlock from top, bottom, or neutral....unless your name was Snyder or McKinney...

For how rare pins are in state finals its just amazing. He perfected his spladle and its one of the first moves we were taught at hollidaysburg. None of us were ever good enough to do well with it and thats probably one of the reasons why their program sucks. I remember when an old guy with frizzy thin hair and the nastiest ears you've ever seen came to one of our practices and tried to teach us the move. He was in a class by himself.
