Last year Johnstown played Westmont in a sloppy mess, and ended up losing, going forward could Penna invoke the "Bailey" rule and have game postponed until field conditions improve.
Didn't BC play BM on a Sunday night at Windber because Penn Cambria decided that they could not use their field due to conditions

Because of the way FH has their schedule this year, finishing the season with 3 straight home games, and right now, looking to host a first round playoff game, 4 consecutive weeks on that grass would tear it up pretty good.
It ain't over until it's over.

Would Cecere have been able to play last night?  Heard he was banged up?

What does the District 6 football chairman have to do with deciding whether or not field conditions are safe enough to play a game at a certain field because of the weather?

No one else in local area canceled, including multiple grass fields
Hurt Qb father is the person who would get the complaint about an unnecessary cancelation of game, who is he going to side with?
Thank goodness someone put the kids safety first, shame on all the schools that played last night risking their players health and well being

Moldo, you know that Franklin has not beaten a ranked team since at Penn State so everyone wants to watch a blowout, and as far as the weather, it is western pa, pretty sure that games have been played in cold temperatures
Congrats to Franklin and the boys. Boy am I glad I chose to watch the "blowout"
