Haha you would mention a CC player. The kid was good, but no where near the top of any qb lists in the past 10-15 years.

They both played 9 games their senior season, yet Seymour had 1600 passing yards and 1100 rushing yards on a 5-5 team in the LHAC. Smith plays on a 10-0 team in the Heritage and is 1800 PY and 680 RuY. Wasn't putting either of them on any list, but if you're not impressed with what Seymour did at QB then you can't be impressed with Smith. I wasn't even comparing stats, strictly what I saw on a highlight film.

And he was the only player that CC team had. Go back and watch Robert Gumby from CV his rushing stats and running ability were unbelievable. It's easy to have stats when you're the only player on the team

My goodness...There is a lot of talk on this thread about Collin Smith.  Is there any other D1 Power 5 Scholarship Kids that we can talk about on here out of D6?  I think we have scathed this kid enough.  What about Hoenstine or Lezzer...have they committed yet?  Both players seem to be pretty good players.

Yes, when you have a terrible line it's super easy to rush for 1100 yards. Dunno about you but I'd rather be a RB at BG with 300lb lineman than a RB at CC. I think that year Seymour weighed more than all but one lineman.Besides the point that Tim Davis is currently a WR at Saint Francis and is from that team.

And he was the only other player they had that year. He had over 1000 receiving yards, no one within 700 of him. Seymour had over 1100 yards rushing no one within 800 yards of him. Seems to me that they were the only ones getting the ball.

So teams would be keyed in on him? At the end day my point was that Collin Smith is a great player, but he probably hasn't been a top QB prospect because he is as good as other great QB'S in the area who didn't play D1 football either. Seymour happens to be a player I watched a lot and IMO Smith is no better than him, not saying he's worse either, just on par. We both have biases obviously, wasn't trying to argue, just giving insight.

If you want to talk about the only player on the team, we should talk about Hoenstine from Central.
Very interesting that he does not have offers yet?    Would speculate that the D1's are not interested and D2 schools are traditionally late waiting to see what comes through the cracks.
Lezzer appears to have a bunch of offers but check out his highlights on Maxpreps, is he the same caliber of player that Irwin or Chadbourne is?

Seymour was good player but for comparison at CC not equivalent to  what Randy McCavish was

If Cecere had any line at FH , he would be talked about, regardless of his age.
