Many years of 30-40pt blowouts, keeping the press on until the end this young undersized BC team is going to get it on the chin all year.

    I think Saltsburg got the better of BC tonight, but as far as taking one on the chin. I'm not so sure about that. They played 10:00 quarters with a running clock. It's tough when both coaches are throwing in different players at different times to see what's working for them. Not like a regular season game when you got your 6 or 7 kids you keep on the floor most of the game. Looked like both coaches were mixing it up every other quarter. If you looked at the game as a whole. Yeah, Saltsburg outperformed BC in certain quarters, but when the starting 5's for each team were on the court. It was a lot closer game to me. Each quarter the starters were in the quarter ended up tied or within 2 or 3 points. Just by keeping track of the score from the top of my head. You could tell Saltsburg had more left in the tank at the end though. I think Saltsburg had more depth on their bench. Don't get me wrong Saltsburg is legit. They're fast and deadly from the 3 point range, but I saw a lot of turnovers from their point guards. BC is a young team with no seniors and when they get some games under their belts. I think they'll be a lot better come playoff time. If Saltsburg can take care of the ball. They'll be in it at the end for sure.

Portage started playing pretty evenly with the young Rangers ( 1 Sr.) for the first 6-8 minutes or so, but then the slight height advantage, 3 pt. shots, and defensive pressure got to the Mustangs. Good workout for both. This was followed by the Lady Rangers hosting Penns Manor, but due to commitments I could not stay. Monday the Rangers host Tyrone, and the Lady Rangers will be @ Everett.
It ain't over until it's over.

Northern cambria dominated glendale from around the 3 point line but couldnt seem to get any rebounds besides Frankie Jones getting 13 of them. High Scorers for NC;
Logan Yonkoske: 17p 2a 3r
Tanner Pershing: 13p 1a 2s
Frankie Jones: 12p 8a 13r
Dang.  Northern Cambria must be going to have a pretty good hoops team this year if they are keeping and reporting stats for a scrimmage.
Hey pal, before you post another thing dissing on the Colts ya better think twice, wise guy!

Lou, you seemed to be more intelligent when you were making your crazy predictions during football season.  Northern Cambria will finish last in their section.
