LV's 2016 team is the best team to come out of the heritage.. That doesn't come without coaching.

Well and to your point, we're all has beens that enjoy the local high school sports. we're not ESPN analysts, sometimes we go off like Stephen A Smith, but as far as I'm concerned we're not different then all the old men talking in a barber shop. People need to not take what we say as gospel. It's mostly opinions that tend to be bias. Coaches and athletes alike need to realize this and not make a big deal of it. It's just "locker room talk".knowitall wrote:So in your world, has been, only coaches that have won multiple district titles are worthy of respect?

Lv had a greay year and should be applauded for it both both coaches and players. Every coach makes bone head mistakes. Even Franco Hayes and Bailey. Now the respect part it comes with winning regardless of what you think it does come with winning. Before this year who did you respect more Nick Saban or James Franklin? It might not be right but thats usually how it goes in the sports world.

lol.
Coach Foust - Haters and naysayers are only trying to bring you down cause they know deep down that you're above them. None of them have ever reached your level of success and they're jealous.
You won't find a successful person responding to this negatively because they all understand it's true (those will be the positive responders).
Bring on the negative comments and ratings cause I really don't care about your opinion. LOL!!

The first TO in the 2nd half was actually my fault and I'm man enough to own up to it. I tried to sub all 4 D lineman out and didn't communicate as well as I should have and we had 12 on the field. I take accountability when I make mistakes. I also didn't have the D prepared enough in the first half and that is why we gave up 24 points to SC. I've replayed this game dozens of times already in my head and it sickens me. Call my crazy, but I think we still should've won that game. Also, 60-22 over the last 7 years IS an established program. Maybe not to you youngbuck, but it is to me. I didn't know this site wasn't for coaches, but I know for a fact there are other coaches on here with different screen names. I don't need to hide what I want to say. Good luck to BG this weekend!

Best team ever? I believe that statement is a bit subjective. It's also one that can never be proven. Lv had a great team this season and that can never be taken away but I have seen a few other great teams in years past. There have been some other great heritage teams that have ran into and were ousted by state finalists early on in the playoffs such as BG and BM. If you are basing it on games played I believe Penns Manor also reached the eastern final in 2010?TheFlash25 wrote:LV's 2016 team is the best team to come out of the heritage.. And to lvcoach, you need not explain anything to anyone on here. It takes a lot of guts for real coaches to put the time and effort into a season and to stand and take criticism from old bleacher coaches like us on here

It was actually 2011 when penns manor went to the state semifinals, but they ended 12-2 and didn't even win the conference because Ligonier Valley beat them 28-0 in the regular season.. No one was even close to beating Ligonier until the semi-finals.

Good Season, probably is the best team out of the conference, but lets face it there have been many teams in D6 to punch through to the semi's and beyond. The trick is to do it multiple times, I said this group reminds me of the Richland crowd earlier this year. I think I got that right. I'll respect the program more when you win without bragging, and do it with another group of kids. I don't see this many comments flying on the Central thread. I believe they reached the same game as you guys did. They expected to be there and disappointed about not going further. Difference is they aren't trying to convince everyone that they belonged there and were the best team ever. Like it or not that title belongs to the BG senior class for D6
That's an 8 win average, take away this year and its 7 wins a year. That's playoff football however that means there are a lot of 1 and done playoff years. If there was playoff wins, then there are 4 loss regular seasons. Also, 60-22 over the last 7 years IS an established program.

60-22 take away the 14-1 this year and that leaves you at 46-21. Not very special when Ligonier was AA playing a mostly A schedule.
