I will have to go with Carmello Anthony beacause he has a better supporting cast than lebron does at denver Mello and his team have made a huge improvement by winning more games than the did last year . and another thing Mello went to college for 1 season and lebron came out of high school ADvantage Mello

I don't understand why you would say Melo is better because he has a better supporting cast?? This isn't about who has a better team. And so what if he went to college for one year... Corey Magette went to Duke for one year... TMac, Kobe, and Garnett all came from high school... so i guess using your logic Magette is the better player??

Lebron is the better player. He's 19 and hes playin like hes been in the league for 3 or 4 years already. Melo just has the better supporting cast but that doesnt make him the better player. I would like to see what Melo could do on the Cavs and how far Lebron would take the Nuggets. Just a thought.

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a delaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary.
Impossible is nothing.
Impossible is nothing.
college did make carmelo a better player but only for a short time. Once lebron got adjusted to the NBA it was lights out. Carmelo and Lebron are both playing very well. It would be hard to choose either one but both definately should have made the all-star game.

At this point in their short careers Melo is more of an impact player for Denver and plays an important role there. Lebron is pretty much the whole cav's team. Bron has incredible game and will be one of the elite superstars in the league when he gets more experience and is able to shoot the three more consistently. In the long run Lebron will be a better player because of his amazing skills, work ethic, and his age which gives him plenty of time to improve.

"Man who runs in front of car gets tired, Man who runs behind car gets exhausted"
The only reason you can say LeBron's stats are better is because look at his team...they suck and he has to do everything....thats what people are trying to say about a better supporting cast....Carmelo has a better team so he doesn't have to do it himself and he still puts up great numbers....LeBron has no one else to pass to so he just drives or shoots because he has to do it himself....Carmelo is by far the better player

i would like to know the attribute that carmello has that sets him SOOO far apart from lebron. the guy had a great college tourney last year but hypothetically i think lebron would be doing the same thing this year, even better. put lebron on any team in the top 25 this year and i would favor them to win the tourney w/o a problem.
carmello is in the perfect role for him. to have a great PG to set him up and some guys underneath that get him second chance opportunities. lebron does almost everything for the cavs. he has turned carlos boozer into one of the best big men in the east, not sayin much but better than what he was last year.
i think you could put lebron in carmellos situation and he would be able to put up very similar #'s and maybe give the team a few more wins w/ his passing. I dont think you could put carmello in lebron's situation and expect the same kind of performance. carmello is good at what he does. lebron is also good at what he does and is just as good or better than carmello in any role on the court.

Sometimes it really sucks to be good.....I mean, you get drafted by the worst teams when your good....and that just isnt good....Carmello and Lebron are good...thus they get drafted by the Nuggets and the big bad Cavs.....its like this for every sport...I just wanted to state this....and get 5 points.......I dont care what anyone says...Carmello will definitely be a better player than Lebron will ever turn out to be...... Wait...he already is....

well said Austin... after witnessing the performance of LeBron in Philly I know that LeBron is a very complete player.
bsazem22 .... you said that LeBron either drives or shoots all the time... well then how exactaly does he avg a lil over 6 apg? A lil over the halfway point in this season the Cavs have 19 wins.... which isn't very good... then you look and see that they had 17 ALL OF LAST YEAR!! LeBron is doing great things at the age of 19... give him 10 years when he hits his prime...
You heard it here... the Cavs will make the playoffs this year!!
