My prediction: BG will invoke the mercy rule for the third straight week.

the biggest difference in BG now and BG when they played Westmont, McCort and Forest Hills is they were still building an offense to fit having their best WR play QB. They had some trouble keeping those offenses off the field with their offense. They've since put in a package that works very well. This isn't the same BG team those three teams played

If Westmont came within 6 points of an upset, I'm wondering what made that happen, and if HC couldn't do better in the same circumstances. To me HC seems more versatile and just as physical. Not sure about the size comparison.
Disclaimer for the BG/private school supporters and public school haters who will want to rip me for even considering an upset - I'm very aware that an HC upset over BG is highly unlikely. But Westmont almost pulled it off. Just wondering how.
Very simple BG played the single worst game in the last 4 year stretch.  Bg came out of the gate sleep walking and westmont very nearly made them pay for it after Bg couldn't wake up

If most of my posts haven't given it away already, I am a BG supporter, but although I think BG will win this game,  I think it may be closer than some believe. HC does have ability to pound the ball with 3 different runners and have a very aggressive defense.  I think BG's passing and pass defense may be the difference in this one. I don't believe it will be a mercy rule game by any means,  and if I'm HC, I'm throwing everything including the kitchen sink at BG.  Why not? Nothing to lose.  My prediction is BG 31 HC 13, with game being closer than that for majority of game.

Awdhaemel, I agree with this. (I think you meant they DO have ability to pound ball w 3 backs, right?). But being a HC supporter, I am still hoping for an upset. But I agree that the difference will be BG's passing and pass defense. Also the HC line will have a tough time.

Sasquatch, the BG kicking game is phenomenal; nothing you can do about that. HC needs to take away the big play to keep this one close. In the past several games, the Yasulitis-Conrad or Conrad-Berish connection seems to pull them out of most situations that should go 3 and out. I agree with earlier posts--Westmont played a great game of clock control, but BG just wasn't up to speed.

It was a Saturday afternoon game and I think BG was looking ahead to the McCort game. Have you seen Westmont play it's like watching paint dry but maybe worse.

I don't see McCort and HC being remotely close at all, McCort would beat HC by 2-3 scores and BG beats them by at least 4. Minus LV, HC has played no one nearly as good as BG. Just my opinion...

HC, watch when Conrad lines up on the left side as a WR with Yasulitis @ QB or wildcat. Almost guarantee it's a pass to Conrad. They used it against us for a TD, and showed the same play several times through the season in highlights of games. Your coaches have to have seen this.

That is probably 100% true,  but if you can't stop it, why stop running it, I Believe, Yasulitis to Conrad is 12 out 15, with 6 or 7 going for TDs. And do you honestly think BG coaches aren't aware of their formation tendencies and aren't making adjustments themselves? And here's some more insight,  HC runs the ball 95% of the time and when they are in 2 and 3 back sets they run 99.9% of the time,  I'm sure both coaching staffs are highly aware of the other teams tendencies and both will attempt to make adjustments to catch the other off guard. HC needs to limit BGs big play ability and grind out 3-4 yrd. runs to control the clock and pick unexpected times to throw the ball if they want a chance.   But as stated in an earlier post, I Believe BGs passing game will be the difference. BG wins 34-13.
